Richard Sherman rips the NFL injury report, says it's only for gamblers.

    https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/r...injury-report/

So sick of shit like this. If it was not for gambling your contracts would be a fraction of what they are. Gambling and fantasy sports are what is driving the growth of these sports leagues.

After Sherman pointed out that the injury report was for gamblers, someone pointed out that it also helped people playing fantasy football, and let's just say that Sherman was not amused by that piece of information.
"Fantasy football, oh my God," Sherman said. "They are almost as bad as the gamblers."

He's kind of right in that's the reason it's there.

Nfl product is so bad now you basically have to have a fantasy team or a bet on the game for it to be intersting. If sports betting was legal and the NFL scrapped Sunday Ticket and made all the games available everywhere, the league would see popularity it's never seen before

Did you read the article? Why are you ripping Sherman? He's basically calling out the NFL and Goodell for being fukkking hypocrites. On one hand they act like they are so opposed to gambling but on the other hand the only reason they have the injury report is to cater to Vegas and fantasy leagues. Sherman is spot on here. I don't understand what you are getting at? NFL tries to do everything possible to protect the integrity of the game while we all know they don't give a shit.

No doubt that is what it is for, but why is this guy crying about it? Has nothing to do with him. Shut up and play the game.

Who cares what these athletes say? None of them watch the news, read a news paper or know what is going in America or the world today.. Yet some turn their backs or take a knee during the National Anthem to make some kind of absurd political statement.. Athletes are only good for being on the field during their playing days..

Sherman lived in gang infested Compton, where his dad was shot 2 times in the chest sitting on the porch with friends. He rose up out of a very difficult situation where he graduated HS with a 4.2 GPA. He was a math wiz with photographic memory. Got into one of the hardest schools in the country, playing receiver at Stanford, where he caught one of the most memorable catches that fueled the most epic upsets in sports (Stanford over USC as 41 point dogs). Moved from receiver to DB where he worked his way up. Could memorize playbooks and routes like coaches never seen. Graduated on time and is working on a masters degree. Voted most likely to succeed in HS (and that was not in football), motivated many of his teammates at Stanford towards them getting their degrees, help recruit some of the best talent to ever come to that college. Recognized as one of the best DB's in the league. He is one of the most heavily endorsed football players in the NFL. Has a net worth in excess of $30 million dollars...

but he's an idiot for pointing out the NFL gambling hypocrisy??? Wow!

Huh? KRK - Sherman is a well known gambler bro. He loves to play craps. This is simply a miss quote on his part. He is not saying that Gamblers are bad. he is saying that fantasy leagues is the same as gambling. Fantasy leagues and gambling are basically the same thing. That is what he was trying to say to the reporter. He just worded it wrong.

Sherman has zero issues with gambling or fantasy sports. He wants it to be legal. Wake up man. He's pointing out the hypocrisy, not criticizing gamblers. Damn.

Well, he is right. It's not about the players, it's about gamblers and information.

I'm not so sure he should rip the system, it implies he doesn't understand it. He likely understands what he needs to, and little more.

But in the end, of course it's about the market.

The injury ratings and system itself is a bit of a joke. Players listed as probable pretty much start every time, as just one example.

Prob boils down to Sherman like perhaps many NFL players dont want their injury issues out there in the public especially if theyre going to play. Opposing players have an angle this way even though the hurt player is medicated to the tilt.

I think he's been on the injury report every week for the last few years but he ends up playing every week. He's probably just tired of having to answer the same stupid injury questions every week, because of the hypocrisy of the league. I think the NFL was looking at taking away a draft pick from Seattle because of them not reporting. Same issues for New England too. Brady's wife said he had a concussion and the League comes in like the Gestapo. And the only reason they are doing it is for us degenerates. They should just stop the damn facade and admit that fantasy and gambling are probably the 2 most important things to their success. They should embrace it instead of being Hypocrites.

Without reading the article, I already know that Richard Sherman has a big mouth. Everyone is hypocritical at times, if that's his beef. Or, one of his many, many multitudes of beefs. Just bc you are angry about and yell about everything doesn't necessarily make you worth listening to.

NFL teams are in a back n forth spat with the league and injury reports. The league keeps threatening them, so many teams are putting any and everything on the reports. It's hilarious and stupid. The NFL has been going after the Seahawks for some reason.

    http://www.thenewstribune.com/sports...173232156.html

Richard Sherman starting new streak for 2017: Weeks on Seahawks’ injury report

Don’t be shocked if Sherman is on practice/injury reports in all 16 weeks of the regular season, for some body part or another.
And remember, he still hasn’t missed a game in his seven-year, 107 regular-season and playoff-game career.

Sherman is a Black crybaby. He shoots his mouth off to fire LIberals like you up. You should really stay the hell out of Football threads. The truth of the matter is that no one gives a shit about what you think. Go back to your girl friend Hillary and complain to her.

And they said Sherman was quite educated?

What a dumb comment by him.

You wipe out the "gambling" viewers of the NFL.... regardless of wagers or fantasy.... and they would file bankruptcy immediately... and/or a strict decline in yearly salary for contracts.

I have to agree.. I'd say half is not more of the people that watch football bet it.. If they didn't have action they might not watch it or go to the games.. Gambling fuels most major sports and without gambling major sports would suffer greatly...

Everything he said was 100% accurate. He was ripping the league for claiming to be against gambling when the injury report is entirely for gambling information. He said if a guy was going to play, what was the point of putting him on the report? 100% idiot responses here.

He knows where the money is coming from, he doesn't like the league pretending they are against gambling.
