    Vikings +6.5 and ML +230

Even with the short week, I like Minnesota here. The offensive line is improved and the defense is still very good. Cook gives them a weapon they were missing last year. Pittsburgh is always tough but I don't love them this year.

Good chance for an upset here. 3 units on the spread and 1 on the moneyline.

First real test for that pieced together O-Line...I'm not using the Saints as a benchmark so I'll avoid this game but hope the Vikes win!

My concern would be steelers blitz scheme will create more pressure on a oline still new working w each other and Bradford's pocket presence when pocket gets muddled still a question mark for me..

Also the line has that feel of last year when nyg came in and it seemed really inflated like this and think steelers waxed them. Steelers night and day home and away.

If the Saints were not so bad on defense I would buy into this play but the Vikings played a weak Saints team in Minnesota for the home opener. Steelers a different beast at home.

My opinion has nothing to do with Monday night's game.

The 6.5 is a lot of points to give a team like MN that is historically in every game under Zimmer.

I like MN ML here as an early season "gut feeling" play. VIKES have started hot last few years and faded under Zimmer, PITT has been a bit slower to start, then peaked end of season.

I could see a MN 27 PITT 21-24 sort of game with Big Ben getting roughed up.

I like Minnesota's defense and I don't think Ben Ben can handle it

    good luck wiz

pit usually a powerhouse at home when everyone healthy but don't see why minny won't stick around for a bit

i expect a pretty low scoring game

Yup. Prolly should just retire after last week. He will never have that type of performance again.

Lol, prob not. Interested to see what he does vs a team that pass rush will muddle the pocket. His pocket presence always been his biggest weakness, he had a very clean pocket Monday night vs saints.. not that he can't make throws w pressure he stood in and dropped few dimes getting hit last week but that was w one gonna coming free in his face. His issue comes when there congestion in pocket he moves into sacks and jumps dumps it off quick as possible in those situations.

If he plays, he will get knocked out for the season. Case Keenum time...solid.

Hard game to assess... Saints first game w/o Brandin Cooks & Willie Snead. Michael Thomas probably isn't a true WR1 and they entered the game w/o their starting left tackle and lost another lineman during the game.

Plus despite preseason whispers of an improved defense, Saints looked their usual garbage selves on that side of the ball.

In other words, I'm inclined to disregard what we saw Monday night.

Steelers have a better defense and obviously pose a greater threat offensively with Bell, Brown, and Bryant. Hell, even Eli Rogers is a viable slot weapon that trumps anything NO rolled out there.

Now factor in the short week for the Vikes, the fact that it's on the road, and that the line is now +5.5, and I'm not seeing a ton of value on Minny at all.
