When Are You Guys Going to Realize Football Capping All QB's

Do not even have to know one other player on team even in college although you really have to know and watch these guys especially college.

Capping QBs is what everyone tries to do and it's impossible to get an edge. I only look at teams wide receivers and offensive line. That's where the keys to success are.

Look for a dominant defense, then look for bad game conditions, bet the under. Collect your cash!

I'm with BigDay on this, I look at defensive stats and possessions. Red zone D especially.

QBs are hit and miss. Bradford over Brees? Smith over Brady? Siemien over Rivers?

No no no...but you know that Zimmer will play D and only give 5 possessions per half, you know Reid will give up yards but not points and you know Denver can get off the field on 3rd down.

Those are 3 teams right there that will be in every game this year just due to defense, and are live dogs anytime you get a +$

knowing the personnel helps but also knowing the character or identity of the team as well if that makes any sense. run heavy teams, teams that air it out often, kind of like how georgia tech always runs the option. as well as navy.

Or saints backers Monday night. And I'm sure many others. JJ just talking out his ass, this may be a qb league now but there still plenty of other equally important factors oline being way up the list as qb don't matter if he getting killed, ask russel Wilson.

The QB can't do it all if he's limited in possessions and has bad down and distance trying to move the chains.

When considering a QB to play or fade I look at long yardage passes. If you get a mad bomber out there I like betting on that because he need not sustain drives. Matt Ryan comes to mind. Kirk Cousins is another who creates TDs in the air of over 25 yards.

FYI MN, KC, Den, Atl and Wash are all +2 or greater ATS since 2016 wk1

Cousins problem is he lost his deep threat and he terrible in red zone.

That what you see if you don't look any deeper. Fact is most qb's only winning games when they have protection and guys making plays for them.

    For real lol...

I could cap QBs and the overall offense as a child...
Coaching/Management is the next big step. Ole Sammy said it best Dline/Oline and D in general is the key.

Obviously there is more to the game than the QB BUT it is the single most important position there is........If you are going to focus in on one thing it better be QB..........The QB affects every part of the game.

Unless the qb is named Rodgers there are lots of factors that determine whether or not said qb is successful.

This is why you're new to the forum, it'll get better over the years...

I've actually learned a lot from some guys here; I don't even post much, hoping to change that slowly.

As simple as it sounds, when it comes to handicapping, there is nothing more important than predicting points scored and points allowed.

Unless you're dealing with high vig props, the sides, moneylines and Totals all focus on points.

Start your handicapping there, then build upon it. The QB is only part of the equation.

It's matchup vs. matchupFinesse against power
Travel across country , starting time
You have to look at it overall
If we're as easy as QB vs. QB
    Pitcher vs. pitcher
Vegas wouldnt be Vegas , it would be Detroit
It does matter but if the OL can't block the DL or has issues vs. a specific scheme , it doesn't matter how good he is .

Alex Smith was 12 and 4 last year ...He averaged less then 1 TD and 197 yards a game < That sucks .... Huh interesting that he got outplayed by most QB's in those games yet the Chiefs won ..... Talk to me JJ
