Massive strikeouts and slumping batting average is a huge issue. Doesn't put ball in play enough...not advancing runners...reduce sacrifice flys...strikeouts is the ultimate out for a pitcher. As for homers...yeah looks good etc...manybare not difference makers though.

Guy will be top 10 for strikeouts in a year. Not bad.

With any luck he could break the record if he gets 2 a game for the rest of the year.

Guy tailed off the past few days, but could still be top 5 if he puts his heart into it.

He has a lot trouble with down and away pitches. And still chases low breaking balls. He will work that stuff out by next year.

Kris Bryant struck out a lot as a rookie too. He's pretty good.

I think he could've shown a little more effort and been top 5, but hey, he's only a rookie.

    who cares?

still hits for a good average and had a great obp

just goes to show how ridiculously good he is when he makes contact.

not like he is some .240 hitter.

SEATTLE -- New York Yankees right fielder Aaron Judge on Friday continued to take positive steps forward in his recovery from a broken wrist, swinging on a field for the first time since being injured six weeks ago.

About five hours before the Yankees faced the Seattle Mariners in their series opener at Safeco Field, Judge was in the ballpark's right-handed batter's box, standing inside the batting cage, where he hit off a tee and took soft toss from hitting coach Marcus Thames.

"[It was] all on the field, so we can see some carry and stuff," manager Aaron Boone said about the drives Judge peppered throughout the outfield.

This might have been Judge's first time hitting on a field since he suffered a chip fracture of the right wrist when he was hit by a pitch July 26, but it wasn't his first time hitting this week. Judge did some type of swinging each day of the Yankees' three-game series at Oakland earlier this week. He took dry swings, hit off a tee and took soft toss. But it was all done in interior cages.

"Another really good day for him, a good step forward for him, and he continues to build momentum," Boone said Friday. "The good thing is, we'll see again [Saturday], but he continues to bounce back pretty well."

the fact that the entire top 15, and probably more, are all within the last 11-12 years says quite a bit.

After Judge swung, he reached for his left side. Maybe oblique area. He leaves game. Stay tuned.
