    Conor Mcgregor stoppage

Was the stoppage a bit tame we have seen Mcgregor fatigued and on wobbly legs before and he usually just comes back with more energy.

    He was done

    He could never beat him

I think Mayweather could of knocked him out early if he wanted

A ridiculous stoppage. Mcgregor was gassed but none of those hits were landing on the head and as long as he's on his feet, he has a puncher's chance; the ref should have given him that chance.

What? The last 15 punches May threw landed on Colin's face and Colin's hands were never above his waist from round 9 till stoppage.

People must forget it was a BOXING MATCH, not a MMA beatdown! Connor was done like an overcooked steak. If he was planning for a last round KO then he must have forgot the rules. He made his money now STFU and go home. This was his big moment. Next year he'll be doing commentary on PPV and doing guest appearances on WWE events.

I've seen thousands of boxing matches, there is no way that fight should have been
    stopped at all.
The ref was on Floyd's side the whole time, breaking them up anytime
there was just a tiny bit of leaning or nudging- something that is commonplace in
    boxing.
There was no reason to stop the fight - no takedown, no bleeding, no dizziness
and no immediate need whatsoever. Conor was on his way to the ropes,
he would have started over fresh in Round 11.
He probably would have lost but that's never a reason to call a fight over.

Then why was he allowing to let Conor to throw hammerfists? Conor was done when the 10th round started.

bullshit back at ya. boxers appear "defenseless" in 90%
of boxing matches at some point.
again, that's never a reason to stop a fight unless
there is already significant bleeding or the man
    already went down before.
McGregor had no bleeding at all, was strong on his feet
and was simply moving back toward the ropes.

Im just not sure what mcgregor's plan was. Mayweather obviously had one, but you would have thought Conner would have at least been trying to throw punches early. That fight was a breeze for mayweather. He hardly got touched. Mcgregor was gassed and getting hit with everything by the end. Terrible strategy

Mayweather didn't even try the first 3 rounds. Lol

In the 10th, he hit Conor repeatedly for a minute and half without any punches returned by Conor. Conor had his hands down and was wobbly as hell.

Snowy I did bet Conor within 3 small

But I bet a lot bigger on Mayweather by ko tko dq

Stupid ending. A match should never be called without a guy hitting the mat imo. Even McGregor said he woulda rather been knocked down than end it like that. I get you gotta protect the guys a little, but shit, it's boxing - and that was weak.

Conor was blocking that left hook with his face in the 10th.

I think the ref could have let him take one more shot but otherwise it was a good stoppage.

Paulie made a great point; if Conor wanted to fight on he needed to throw a punch. The ref is going to stop it if you are go backwards and being knocked into oblivion.

Conor had no problem with the stoppage. Ref's job is to protect the fighters, a couple more punches and Conor might be a different person, just never know.

Exactly right , the outcome was evident and nothing good could come from letting this fight go on.

Stoppage was fine. 2 minutes to go in the round and he was all ready pretty much defenseless just running away. Can do some serious, long-term damage with boxing gloves and a opponent who refuses to quit. No reason to make him eat 20 more punches just to get knocked down, the fight was over.

Even though I agree with the stoppage, Anthony Joshua was in the same predicament in his fight with Klitschko, gassed and defenseless, but he came back to win.

Joshua went down and got back up, other times he held, fought back and kept his hands up, not comparable to Conor.

True, Conor didn't even go down

Yeah Joshua did have his hands up some but that's because he is a pro boxer. He was gassed but survived, then was on the attack against a klitschko that used up a lot trying to get him out but didn't. Once again, I don't mind the stoppage, but if Conor was a pro boxer I think you would have seen it allowed to continue.

LOL at that ref before the fight talking to McGregor in the dressing room. "If you don't show the ability to handle yourself or defend yourself I'm going to take care of you". Surprised Conor didn't give him a big F U

You must have been watching a different fight then I was. Connor wasn't even protecting himself anymore after he got pummeled by about 10 straight shots to the face. Guy was on the ropes with his hands down, Mayweather would have knocked him down if they didn't stop it. The fight was over, there was nothing more to see.

The ref. was definitely not corrupt. Robert Byrd has always had a quick hook, and if anyone had a reason to complain about his officiating it would be Mayweather, not McGregor. McGregor was rabbit punching and holding & hitting all night. He could have easily had a point deducted or worse.
