I heard that Cleveland might just ask for more draft picks....that sure will tell how much Kyrie and the Cavs don't want each other

It would explain why the celts gave the draft pick. Cavs would be stupid to void the trade. Irving won't play with Lebron so it'll just add a ton of media speculation before the season

Thomas may be a no defense playing midget but he was the leader of a team that got to eastern conference finals. Where was kyrie's team before bron showed up? The lottery that where.

Cleveland just wants to squeeze more out of the Celtics, but they sure as heck can't back out now. If I'm Ainge, I play hardball and tell Cleveland "you knew about the injury, so take it or leave it."

But another Cavs guard also made a trade demand: Iman Shumpert. At least, that's what ESPN's Dave McMenamin is reporting.

Lost in the attention surrounding Irving’s trade request is that Iman Shumpert also requested a trade after the season, multiple sources told ESPN. Cleveland was in talks to trade Shumpert and his $10.3 million contract to Minnesota or Houston, but both deals fell apart. Logic would tell you that the Cavs will remain motivated to find a team to take Shumpert.

Shumpert's reported request was mostly mocked on Twitter, because he's not really in a position to demand trades. The Cavs would love to get rid of him, and his contract, but haven't found any teams willing to participate. As McMenamin reported, they engaged in talks with a few teams, but ultimately had no takers.

Funny how no one is blaming James for the stupid contracts he made the cavs sign useless players to. No wonder the owner got rid of Griffin.

True but they got their coveted title and can rest on that for the next few decades after Lebron leaves town again.

Too far to undo things now.

Sounds like Boston might throw in their first round pick.

Ainge should stand firm. No additional 1st round picks. Fukk that. Kyrie can bolt after 2 years.
The C`s can take IT back, bargain for next year, then release him.
2 potential lotto picks in 2018, LAL and Nets.

Would rather have the rookie capped salaries for the next few years and see which ones take a nice leap.
They ain`t beating the GSWs for the next 3-4 years, so how does Kyrie change anything?
