Can you name an example . . .

. . . of an NFL QB who started his career with an accuracy problem and corrected it?

only asking cuz I can't really think of one.

You're right. If a guy didn't learn how to become accurate in high school or college, it's too late. The NFL is no place to learn technical skills. One can learn to read defenses, but only if he's already good enough to play. And it's a lot the same in MLB. If you can't hit right away, you'll never be a hitter. The pitching is too good.

People don't move mountains over night. Some qbs have improved their accuracy to a point where they make a considerable difference in the game.

Most changes are short term over the course of half or 1 season. And the improvements aren't night and day but rather just enough to warrant a significant advantage.

Some specific examples that come to mind are ben rapistberger, Mike Vick and Donovan mcnabb

Aaron Rodgers. Totally revamped his throwing motion from college to NFL. An article on the subject:

Warren Moon was a mad bomber in the "other league" and early on w Houston, eventually honing the accuracy into all pro status in the early and mid 90s.

Watched rogers in college a lot (local team in these parts) and he was pretty damn accurate in college. His change in throwing motion was really about a quicker release if I remember correctly.

Ran a short passing game @ Cal, wasn't nearly as accurate on longer throws as he is now.
