The whole thing is preposterous considering freed blacks, who used to be slaves, owned slaves themselves at a much higher percentage than whites. Kind of makes that whole white/evil black/victim narrative go straight out the window. There is a much better chance that a black person today is an ancestor of a freed black who owned black slaves than a white person today is a descendant of a white person who owned slaves.
