    All betting workshops take place at the Mezzanine floor in the ‘Salon Ambar’ banquet room. Read more about the speakers.

    Topics: Differences in approach needed when betting NFL and NCAAF, futures, and money management.

    11:00AM
    Speaker: Matt Holt, VP of Business Development for CG Technology
    Topic: Technology and the future of sports betting. A view from behind the counter.

    1:00PM
    Speaker: Gabe Morency
    Topic: Bridging the gap between fantasy and sports betting. Keeping your emotions out of sports betting.

    2:00PM
    Speaker: Ed Feng
    Topic: Turning a PHD into sports betting dollars. Statistical approach to sports betting.

    5:00PM
    $5,000 NL Texas Hold Em Poker Tournament sponsored by YouWager.

    Where: Poker Room in Casino. Registration Closes at 4pm. Check in 30 minutes before to be seated. Only open to IFBC guests.

    Format: Hyper turbo, five tables with each table paying $1,000 in 50%, 30%, 20% increments for 1st, 2nd, 3rd. (In the event that there are less tables, $5K divided among available tournament tables w/ same 50/30/20% payout structure).

    Day Two, Saturday

    Speaker: Clay Travis
    Topic: Evolution of sports media and how to sniff out the BS, and thoughts on the upcoming football season.

    SBR Roundtable with Peter Loshak and company
    Topics: Live taping of weekly handicapping show.

    Speaker: Marc Lawrence
    Topic: Early season betting preview.

    2:00PM
    Speaker: Gil Alexander
    Topic: What's in a betting line? Gil's philosophy and approach when it comes to picking winners.

    9:00PM
    Social mixer at Octavo Rooftop (8th floor of Sheraton). 4,000 colones cover charge to enter (approx $7).
    Mingle & chat with event guests. Open to the public.

    Poker tourney looks fun.

    Gil Alexander should be an interesting listen. Can't pick winners for nothing and is a long term losing gambler but he talks a pretty decent game.

    Reading the itinerary about the poker tourney, the flier says there is a blackjack tourney. Any more info on that? I don't wanna miss that.
