    Dude just keeps getting it done.

    First ballot Hall of Fame, no question.
    He's on a very short list of players with a lifetime average of over .300 career on base percentage of .400 and a career slugging percentage of .500.

    How short is the list?
    Ruth, Gehrig, Foxx, Hornsby, Musial, a couple of others.

    Not only that, ever see him play first base.
    Like Hernandez and Mattingly did.

    Greatest player that ever lived that got no press.

    Great player, but he'll never get to play for a winning organization with that contract of his. No one will take on all that money at his age. He could turn into Albert Pujols any day.

    He's almost 34, so year he'll lose it someday, but I doubt it's real soon. Should have another 3-4 good years left in him. 6 years plus option buyout year left. 25 per is not really that bad. If Cincy wanted to move him, they easily could.

    Baseball reference will back me up, the five year stretch from 2009 to 2013 Votto had the best late and close stats (including clutch stats) then anyone in the game. Miggy was second most clutch and Cotto's late and clutch numbers blew Miggy's numbers out of the water.

    Shame on you.
