Nats with Strasburg against Reds with Feldman.
I can't call Feldman a hamburger, his WH/IP is a full 0.10 better than league average, Feldman has a WH/IP of 1.24 (not bad), ERA 3.94 a tad better than league average) but to call Feldman 'Strasburg', and call the Reds the Nats is ridiculous.
Thing about Feldman is he likes to give up a few gopher balls.
Reds have bats that hit the ball really, really hard, like Votto, and Schebler, and Duvall, all with 20 taters or more.
And they got that pesky gnat at the top of the order that can run all day, but still Nats have the better offense and the better starter in this game, and they are only -142
I wasn't expecting -210 when I checked the line earlier, but I wasn't expecting -142 either. I was expect mid 160's maybe.
I know the Braves hammers Strasburg in his last effort, and a lot degenerates ate a ton of chalk in that 14-0 loss, which might play a part in the 142 price, but the Nats have a few live arms now in the bullpen.
I'm afraid to pull the trigger at -142, the Nats are such a logical play here though, why such a (in my opinion) such a soft price?
The Nationals are 29 and 17 on the road, the best in the NL, 4 games better than the Dodgers road record.
Astros are 33 and 11 on the road. Are you kidding me !!! How ridiculous is that?
The best team of the past 2 decades, and one of the best regular season teams I've ever seen (2001 Mariners) won 59 lost 22 on the road, and the Astros are looking to win like 62, that's insane.
Anyway Reds are .500 at home and 23 and 23, Nats are road warriors, Nats have the best #2 (or second best depending on who you speak too) rotation starter in the game in Stras, not quite elite but still a quality pitcher, the Nats have the better offense, and now have a bullpen they can lean on.
Screw it, I'm taking the +120 on the run line, reduced juice at 5Dimes, if it loses, it loses.
I try not to let the line mind fuk me, and I always preach if you like the side, then bet the side and all that.
I dislike everything about the Nats, can't stand that team, but sure looks like +120 on money line (I get the ninth inning at bat being on the road) is the play.
