    Why are all 3 Pittsburgh Teams Black and Gold/Yellow?

    Watching Pirates and just thought of that as they showed the Pens doing their parade during pirates game.

    In 1853 the bumble bee was registered as Pennsylvania's state bug with the yellow jacket registered as the offical bug of Pittsburgh, the black and yellow combination would go on to represent each of Pittsburgh's home sports teams.

    I assumed because its a Steel City,same with the Hamilton Tigercats,they don the black and gold and are a Steel town.

    Nothing to do with topic really, but they got the nicest bums, I was there before a MNF game and one offered me a toke of his doobie while walking across one of the 100 bridges there, I first thought he was going to try to rob me.

    I love my Pittsburgh teams and Buckeyes. I'm a Cavs fan too, just don't like that shill LeBron.
