    The $500 was just a number. It could be $5,000,000. Either way the answer should be the same. The question is essentially which provides the best return.

    The $500 is just a number. Barring minimum investment, the return as a % will be the same whether you buy $1 of something or $1,000,000 of it. In pure dollars no but as a percent it does.
