Lakerboy used to be in the restaurant business. I doubt he'd pick Olive Garden for a meeting spot.

I had Chef make me Shrimp Scampi last week

It was probably better than any place in NY City or Chicago

Didn't used to be a fan but more recently I think they have some decent selections that fairly tasty. Still rather grill steaks and seafood on my porch and get produce and pasta from local farmers market. Some like going out to each is own.

Olive Garden overrated.. Small dishes served that won't fill you up.. Salads are ok that's about it..

Gets the red lobster average rating in my book.. Restaurants pumped up for the inner city and low income folks.. They think it's 5 star dinning at a reasonable price. Ignorance is bliss ...

I'm not to good to eat at either so don't get me wrong.. Just my take on both..

Lobster tails are tasty especially when dipped in melted butter.. Unhealthy and fatty though.. I haven't had lobster in years.. I'll probably eat it a few more times in my life time.. Not a top priority.. Tastes a little better then cooked shrimp IMO..

    Shell fish high in cholesterol...

I much prefer grilling lobster at home to them if I'm so inclined (and I am often), in my experience cooking of said lobster at RL inconsistent and as you mentioned drenched in butter which isn't really called for (a light basting to avoid dryness while grilling bout all you need)..
