Which again, I see this rule in an implying manner, only, not accusing as proof of any single Book, purposely, taking advantage of any ONE individual. Just simply, I see it as a bad rule.

Abe, please read what I wrote. I neither conformed or denied the accusations against Opi. The point of my post was that when someone defames someone via published or written material its called libel not slander.

If you want my opinion as to the book's rule, I'm fine with having a sportsbook limit the days an open parlay can sit. However, I do believe that if they remove the open parlay they need to pay out the completed portion of the parlay. I do not believe they should benefit from having a rule.

I'm sure these books have reserve/liquidity requirements as a part of regulations. So, if everyone had open parlays and/or someone forgot about an open parley, should they be required to sit money aside?

I understand the rule, but to remove the parlay and not payout what was completed thus far is borderline theft.

I believe what Opi was saying is that instead of saying the book is garbage, the rule is stupid, and it was theft. Perhaps the computer system removed the parlay automatically. So, submit a complaint and give the book the opportunity to make it right by either adding back the parlay and/or paying out the completed portion.

Okay, at least you have offered up some serious well thought out explanation of what you think and how you feel about this controversy.
And the OPT thing? I only used your good wording to put him in a state of a possible libel/slander situation. Of course, there's little chance I will do that.
    Thank you!

A question--or is it the same original? Do gamblers really want fuzzy rules that seem to benefit only one individual? Just wondering again.
When a rule seems "fuzzy," that concerns me.

So how did this end up? Did Heritage give Abe the current value of the parlay or just confiscate it? Did he get booted?

And the beat goes on? Anyone? Anyone care? Anyone that can relate to a possible same personal scenario situation, yet, would simply let it slide?
Is SBR still looking at my serious problem with this Book and if they are; after 2 full months, what are they now thinking?
Is Heritage anywhere the same enticing Book it was 5 or 7 years ago...I mean; have they tightened their purse strings so much these past few years, you have to wonder; are they still a top notch book as someone has suggested on this thread?

These are very serious questions needing to be answered and not furthered ignored.

So, I suppose you also agree it's fine and fair to delete a 4 win one open parlay without any deadline notice? But of course, if the rule is stated right up front, then you have to just say..."I was warned?"

Bottom line members and gamblers: Is that rule, only, a benefit for the Sportsbook that issues it? How does it benefit the typical gambler? If one would use his commonsense you would have to believe this rule--being relatively new in today's Sportsbook world [Top Books seem to avoid such pressurized rules]--I certainly believe, would be an excellent way to trap any naive gambler, either, by overlooking such a timed-based rule, or the other, pressuring him into choosing a fill team he may not want to pick?
Anther bottom line: Is it a fair rule or even a worthwhile rule to post on any Book?

*My opinion: it will scare potential clientele away rather than entice them.

Heritage has agreed to pay the parlay!

I do thank Heritage for giving a break and counting my 4-team parlay, with one open, as a final 4-team pay out.
Thanks for any help along the way from members.
I believe most members would agree that Heritage did the right thing by not deleting that open parlay.

With 75 at stake, I liked those odds right where they were.
If your math is so bad that you think having the open last leg would change your odds as opposed to cashing out after the 4rth leg, perhaps you shouldn't be betting. All that happens on a 5 leg parlay is that the last leg gets wagered on in the amount that the other 4 legs have won (including the original stake). The main point to betting a parlay is to either bet events that are going on at the same time, to secure a price you think will be favorable compared to what it will be later, or to limit the loss amount. An open parlay is actually quite stupid, since you can just bet the amount that you've won on 1 event and "parlay" those winnings on a straight bet, achieving the very same thing. And then, you won't have to publicly embarrass yourself on a forum like you did here because you were dumb enough to let an open parlay go past 90 days. Heck, you could have just filled out the parlay on a game and bet the other side flat and guaranteed yourself any payout you wanted.

So many puss-gamblers on board. And so little time left before they fold their small Tee-Pee's and go back home flat-busted and having mama filing for divorce.
What this gambling-uneducated fool above is trying to tell us, is beyond me? This is profound example of one of the fools I describe above. Parlays are one of the best sports gambles their are and anyone stating it differently, I suppose, has never hit one or doesn't have the skill, or interest, to attempt a parlay.

ABE's advice: So, I see parlays nowadays a bit more difficult to even play, definitely. However, I say, it depends on which Book you play it with, and if you choose a Book that has suffocating rules on parlays, such as time-limits or shorter payoff odds, you better have a almost "gimmie" play involved with that parlay, or stay far far away.

    * I will now take another closer look and waste my time[likely] , to see if I can decipher the point this rookie above is attempting to make.
