Does anyone actually care who wins anymore?

I feel too disconnected from the sports scene these days compared to before I bet.

After betting for a while I just don't give a shit anymore who wins and it's not limited to just one sport. Literally everything is pale to me now and it's fairly disturbing to me tbh..

    anyone else like that?

once u go down that rabbit hole, u never come back. still loyal to my core teams. uconn huskies, nymets, but haven't been able to root for the knicks since isaiah thomas screwed them up. transplanted southerner so love my uga bulldogs...just continue to enjoy rooting for your favorite teams and players in games u don't bet on.

how can it possibly matter to you if your "team" wins a championship. sure you feel euphoria for about 5 minutes but what else. you don't get a cut of their prize money. oh, you can call a relative in the city that your team defeated and brag if you're 12 but why bother. the parade nonsense (when did that start?) is a total waste of time to do what, gawk at your teams players (who most definitely don't want to be doing it) going by while you stand out in the cold. this if you don't win a championship the whole season is a waste is a fallacy. if you enjoyed watching and betting during the whole regular season that matters more.

Nope. Everyone here is well adjusted, kind and loaded with cash!

    Just fukking with Ya.

Good for you not giving a shit for the moment. Most men here take breaks, it is smart, in my (our) opinion.

Here, have a better day. If your Mom is alive, call her and visit with her if she is close by.
thank her for the things that she gave you, that you appreciate...

I practically worshiped my core favorite teams when I was a kid. As I got older, I started to lose interest. Sports handicapping and fantasy sports reinvigorated my love for sports. I would probably be miserable following politics 100% of the time, if it wasn't for betting.

When u bet sports, u drop loyalty to teams.

Just the nature of the business. Loyal to the team name on my ticket.

I don't disagree, but it has something to do with the aging process.

I used to throw a fit when I was a kid and the Steelers lost a regular season game. Like break shit and everything.
A lot of people just grow out of being fans without betting to assist them.

Yessir... I remember my college roommate throwing a coffee table thru the TV.
The Redskins lost to GB. He was a big Skins fan that day only because he had $2500
    on them.

My wife sees me watching a game and automatically asks, "So, who you got in this one?".

Not sure if it's because of getting older, or from betting on games. Possibly a combination, but I dont care as much when my teams lose.

the ones that care are the nut jobs that actually attend the games. if you are taking kids that's fine but if not and you wear your teams jerseys (when did that start) and don't bet then you care. better to stay home and watch and bet than to feed these players by paying astronomical ticket prices to watch in person and overpay for concessions. (why is everyone so hungry at a 3 hour game). sure once a year go if you must but you got to pay for parking, get searched by security, drink 10.00 beers, to watch players shoot 3's, hit foul ball after foul ball, or watch about 10 minutes of actual play at an nfl game. hockey has good action for live attending but if you're going to see if your team can win a "championship" 29 out of 30 fan bases are going to be let down.

rooting for a player(s) or a team all season is fun even without betting. but to be let down, disappointed and crushed because your team doesn't win it all so you can't go to a parade is ridiculous. maybe the atlanta falcons fans are crushed but the boston celtics fans don't seem to be. are the ottawa senators fans home crying in their beds. maybe...

I feel much more connected to the sports scene because of betting. Without the action I wouldn't watch or pay attention.
