Yea I said it'd be more interesting but the Warriors would still win.

Agreed. I'm just happy there's money to be made on them this year, next year they'll probably be -350 or something silly like that to win the title entering the playoffs. They're like that team a 10-year old creates playing NBA 2K or FIFA putting all the best players on his team.

Seto let's not forget though LeBron set this precedent. He went and formed a super team with a top 3 player in Wade and a top 10-15 player in Bosh. James was supposed to be the best player in the game but he needed a Big 3 just to win 2 of 4 years.

That's true. It's not as bad as what Durant did but it does set the precedent like you say.

Yep it's all about precedent. I mean come on. The 2nd best player in the league went to a 73 win record breaking team. It's stupid. Just like we all said last July.

Keep in mind the NBA disallowed Chris Paul to the Lakers for Pau Gasol because of "competitive balance." Total joke.

    Durant 38 points 0 turnovers
    James 28 points 8 turnovers

1:1 assist to turnover ratio isn't very good, Actually it's butt ugly.

Robbed me of experiencing Kobe make a couple more runs at it

Fukking hate that I only got into this sport in 2010. I missed a great era if I had only started watching it earlier instead of watching soccer.

We would be in a great era right now if the two best teams weren't so stacked. The game itself is as healthy as it's ever been but the league has a problem with these two teams.

    You really think so?

The 90s had some great teams.

    Jazz - Stockton/Malone/Hornacek
    Knicks - Starks/Ewing/Oakley
    Sonics - Kemp/Payton/Schrempf
    Suns - Barkley/Johnson/Ainge
    Blazers - Drexler/Kersey/Robinson
    Rockets - Olajuwon/Drexler/Smith, etc
    Magic - Shaq/Penny
    Pistons - Dumars/Laimbeer/Rodman

I'm not saying that there aren't teams with good players but in the 90s the path to resistance was a lot harder it seemed like. Jordan had to go through several Hall of Famers to win his rings.

I'm talking about the game itself. There are some things I don't like but it's faster and more athletic than ever. There's a lot of guys from the 90s who wouldn't have a shot in hell of playing today.

Now I will say I think the reliance on 3 pointers has probably swung too far and has actually hurt the game a bit but overall the game itself is probably better than it's ever been.

LOL. I was trying to go fast off of the top of my head...I feel like I left a team out too, anyway, my point was that it's a different era. In today's game Jordan might average 40+ a game because in the 90s it was a lot more physical style of play.

The game seems more free flowing now and you can't touch guys on the perimeter but you can hack the shit out of post players. Basically, the game caters to shooters now. To me, that's not necessarily a bad thing but it is what it is.

My main point was that if you put this Warriors teams in the 90s, they might still beat all of those teams I listed but I feel like the games would be a lot more competitive. The Bulls had to battle to win some of their titles. The Warriors are undefeated in the playoffs and winning every game by an average of over 15 points. I just don't see the Warriors running through some of those teams like that.

Let's face it, there weren't any teams good enough to challenge either Cleveland or Golden State in the playoffs. There wasn't even a team that could make it competitive.

If the Warriors and the Cavs bring their 'A' game both at the same time for the rest of this series, this series is over in 5 games, and maybe even in 4 games. Warriors had an answer for everything the Cavs wanted to do, Warriors were one step ahead on Cleveland pretty much start to finish, total domination.

    No?
GSW pressured LeBron into 8 turnovers, only one player has been forced into 8 turnovers in the Finals the past 30 years, that was LeBron James in the 2017 Finals,

If I were a Cavs fan, I'd hope their head coach LeBron James has a different game plan for game 2, because game 1 game plan was an epic fail.

Cavs fans can spin it any way they choose, but know this and know this well, Cleveland got their shit pushed back in their butt holes.

True as the old saying goes it's all about who loses first on their home court.. Warriors can win the next game on Sunday and all they did is hold serve as they are expected to do..

Game 1 was a complete domination though.. Cavs really have no answer for KD, he made Love guarding him look stupid...
