    If You Bet $50 A Game And Down $1000...

    Say since January 1st, do you realize you will never get to even keeping your bet size the same??

    Basically showing you how hard it is to get to even as you are basically a +700 dog to do it

    That is a pretty good sample size to be down 200 units - must be something like won 400 and lost 600? Which is 50 bets a week.

    Increasing your bet size should only be done if you are hot - have an advantage.

    Read about Kelly Criterion - separate your markets and bet selection types - paper trade and only enter the market on a 50% + batting average current form. 5 k bank and 1% lets you bet 50.

    Maybe, modify Kelly that you can increase your bets at $ goals - get the bank up 250 and you can can bet 75 as long as the bank stays above 5250. Go below 5 k and current form has to be + 50% to play and also at a reduced amount (1% of 4500 is 45, etc.).

    The carrot is the desire to bet more money because someone that lost 200 units and 10k does not sweat that amount of money.

    It is all about value first - identify the amount of value - more than chip management technique. You have heard of protect the code - well protect the bank! Tough times - well - ho 50 bucks - scalp 50 bucks to maintain the bank.

    Somehow, get away from the entertainment philosophy and into some kind of survival mode.

    It is easy to be down -1000 since January 1st betting $50 at -110 and of course some ml bets -150 or dogs

    Yes, that is only 20 units - I agree that it can happen pretty fast. Just think that chip size management will not turn the ship around.

    My advice to anyone down $1000 on $50 bets is to find a sport your'e good at, and only spend your time, and money on that sport. If It's WNBA then so be it.

    My bankroll is only about $300 a week but I still bet $50 a game.

    I don't bet every day, I usually win most weeks. I'd be lying if I said I never lose but it is rare for me to be paying st the end of a week. Definitely +$$ since I've started with this local

    Some people got it some people don't

    most of us do and get buried even betting $50 a game ads up

    This is really more a argument that people shouldn't wager on sports. Which yeah if you dont study all the time/ or tail a good capper / or pay a good tout. Poker is most profitable to me anyway. Ive bet sports 10+ years and still have large downswings along with big upswings. Only way i lose at poker if guys make their draws and i hit a bad streak with that. Which happens a couple times every few months

    Like right now with all the trump stuff going on. I study the newspapers rather then sports. First time in 10+ years ive slowed down on sports but trump will do that to a guy. In my opinion he is highly disruptive and causes anxiety and tension in americans lives rather then helping americans and being a supportive figure. So yeah until he is gone i dont have time for much sports. I still play poker daily
