Roger Federer to Skip the French Open

Says he will skip the FO and start getting ready for grass court tourneys.

He hasn't played any clay court tourney and clay is probably his worst surface, so I wouldn't really expect much from him in FO even if he wouldn't skip it...

No reason for him to play. Focus on winning another Wimbledon.

He's a bitch with a fake smile. His daddy Nadal picks wedgies with more balls than him and his gay ass hair

There's no need for him to participate knowing he won't win it. The plan is to let Nadal win the French Open then they'll award Wimbledon to Federer. They have not yet decided who to award the US Open.

But of course it's not just 'one week of tennis'. Think whole clay court season which, given the peculiarities of this surface, could be twice as physically taxing as a grass season.

And then you have maybe 10% chance to win the French, compared to 20-30% chance in any other major this year.

If anything I'd be surprised if he played...
