Jibby there is lots of bitcoib fraud most is it just not known to the public.

Alot of it coming from india and europe

    Is that right? Hmmmm?

Well Bitcoin for me will only be used for sportsbook deposits and for long term investing.. Bitcoin has been on the rise year after year and if you consider it like a stock it really is a good investment.. It's sure been getting way better returns then your money sitting in a Bank Savings Account or even a CD..

some of you have short or non-existent memories if you think bitcoin is a safe investment, or that there is a small amount of fraud... i was one of the ones that got creamed when mt gox went under... real fun holding something that goes from $1 to $1200 only to lose all of that anyway without any chance of selling... as the litigation continues after years of waiting

another one today, bitfinex might be in the same boat

have never been an advocate for speculating in crypto coins... people who do SHOULD know the risks , most do. its one thing to lose a lot of money on the market swings but theft is another matter

most of us should hold long enough to deposit or cash it

thought has probably crossed all of our minds that he knew it was paying extra

reminds me of a blackjack machine i played at bally's about 20 years ago in the coin-in and coin-out days... it paid $3 on every $2 bet win if i remember correctly, whether it was blackjack or not

i played it for quite a while, then left with a nice profit. i remember feeling worse that i didn't play it longer than i did for getting away with it. now i'd probably feel worse for getting away with it

I'm a believer that if one takes shots at an advantage they know is incorrect it will ALWAYS come back to bite you in the end. This has nothing to do with OP at all, not implying he did this whatsoever. But if one knows something isn't right, best to advise someone, or just walk away. In one form or another I am a firm believer shot takers will end up regretting it. May not happen right away, could happen uears down the road, but it will come back to bite you, and it may not even come on the form of gambling. Could be a pattern one develops that will.cost them at home, or at their jobs/careers. Not worth it.

Well just like any stock and even the S&P's they are all never bullet proof in a stock market crash.. Certainly not a great idea to buy stocks at their peak price either.. I still think Bitcoin is as safe as most conservative stocks investments right now... From what I've been reading bitcoins aren't going anywhere.. It's not like ponzi scheme..

You also don't have to put your life savings in it either.. Throw a couple thousand in and see what happens over time.. When you need to make a sportsbook deposit take it out from that few thousand you threw in bitcoins..

If it crashes you don't get completely burnt... If stocks or bitcoins crash you hold and don't sell for a few years til the price comes back.. It's a gamble though just like most stocks at some level....

Just my 2 cents but OP has been playing online for quite a while. I believe he knew what was going on and just played it out. Like FunnyB said, we all do
thinfs we regret while younger that we wouldn't continue as we get more responsible In life. Even though I doubt OP is younger guy, don't think he's quite there morally yet. Plus sounds like has bigger problems gambling & getting shit face drunk on a Monday night.

It wasn't Monday. He got shitfaced drunk on Wednesday night and played until the wee hours of Thursday morning. Not that that is much better. It is tough to believe, but it is plausible he was so drunk that he never put 2 and 2 together about what was happening. Maybe he is not that bright to begin with either. I just hope he didn't quit his day job Thursday morning.

I am going to guess (like everyone else here) that OP was sitting there, threw a few bucks on it and started to win. When I win on slots (play them live maybe once per year) I have no idea what the screen means or how/why I am being paid out. I sit there and watch my total go up or down but really no idea why.

He probably got himself up a few bucks and starting to have a few drinks (why not, right??) and just kept going up. At some point, 100% he started thinking, this is insane....I can do no wrong....something must be wrong?? I mean 8 hours is nuts. Even at that point he likely didn't understand exactly what was happening, only that he liked it. It was taking screen shots and posting them to friends....as any of us would be if we had friends.

Anyway....it all seems to be somewhat resolved, aside from some compensation. OP did go to bed feeling like he was a $77k winner, and there is the time he spent and the disappointment. I would say that a fair settlement would be something around $2500 and everyone would be happy. OP now realizes what happened, and that one or two days of disappointment is likely behind him.

    My thoughts, anyway.

Eight hours is an insane amount of time spent of video slots. Just think how many pulls can occur in a meager five-minute span much less the equivalent of an entire full-time shift for the average American worker.

Now you mean to tell me a seasoned gambler spent eight hours straight on a single video slot game, turning $80 into damn near $80K, without hitting a single jackpot along the way, and didn't have so much as an inkling that something was amiss?

Drunk or not, that doesn't sound plausible. At some point during the avalanche of profits he had to have realized he was on the golden end of a technical flaw, but wanted to see how long he could reasonably milk it.

Let's be honest, if it got to the point where he was throwing $150 around on a single spin, his confidence in the game exceeded that of one merely "pressing their luck."

The rollover must have been incredible? So, the player got the spreadsheet that illustrated the error of incorrect payouts and refunds of the amounts bet on winning hands. Wouldn't it be right to calculate the proper balance with the data?

How many winning hands would there be in 8 hours?

Amazing that only one player won!
