If it's not a big deal, you should let Vegas Dave place bets under your name.
What I'm saying is that if he was losing instead of winning we wouldn't be hearing about this story. Did he do it a dumb way yes but to me it seems like this guy won and they didn't want him around and this is a way he used to get around being blackballed. Guy probably couldn't stop gambling. We have people in my joint that sign shit to ban themselves from the casino because of their addiction. We also got people who wear penetrating diapers cause they don't want to lose there slot seat. Sometimes i will see an older guys with piss all over him cause he wouldn't give up his slot seat. I didn't read the whole article but were these SS# from friends or just anyone?

He forged federal treasury forms. It is beyond the casino at that point. Like Gritter said, the IRS realizes these forms are being signed by a different person than the ss#, no tax being paid. Treasury department informs the casino, casino stops taking his action. Simple as that.

All these posts are quite interesting.

So basically Vegas Dave is the dude who predicted Royals to win World Series and also Denver to win Super Bowl?

Isn't he the guy that also predicted Holm to beat Rousey?

The stupidity when it comes to not filing your taxes when clearly tax forms are being sent under your presumed SS# (by the casino)... wow.

    Mind boggling.

He had to have a previous IRS debt under his SSN. No other reason to do this.

Just wondering also... in the state of Nevada... if you owe back child support... can the casino withhold your winnings? Possibly another reason to not use your SSN.

I just can't see this guy using someone else's SSN just to avoid paying taxes on winnings. He must of had a debt with the State or Feds prior?

    I'm just curious.

    Just to avoid taxes?

The taxes on this guy's wins alone would be a nice size house.

I agree. Taxes would be significant. I'm sure there are 99% honest people out in Nevada that win and pay.

I'm just saying... he would have to be an absolute fool to be clean with the feds and state... wake up one day... go to a party or whatever... get the advice of some clown... hey man... you should use a fake SSN. Then he gets this idea and does it. It doesn't get anymore retarded than this.

That's why I'm only suggesting there has to be more to this. Prior IRS debt... owed the state of Nevada money for whatever reason?
