not at all justifying their actions but you gotta know that you have no chance of winning this fight when 3 guys come on board and tell you that you need to leave the airplane. Right or wrong, you are gonna lose this fight no matter what. Best to just get up and leave.

I hate United. They are the worst airline I have experienced but sometimes I need to use them.

How about the airlines stop selling the same seat to more than one person in the hope that one of them doesn't show up? That's a ridiculous policy. United could have avoided this by increasing the offer to a point where four people would have accepted.

Wasnt random. Your contract of carriage tell you the order of involuntary denied boarding. He was at the bottom of that list. His actions were disgusting and selfish. Hope he loses patients because of it.
This will be one of the easiest settlements ever recovered. This guy is going to sue the airline, airport, city, police, etc etc.

I see people do that on a daily basis here in the states, whether it might be trying to get hit by a car, or accusing fast-food restaurants of putting crap in their food. This is just disgusting, I hope sometimes people who run infront of vehicles trying to get a quick payday die in the process.
Yea the video looks dramatic but let's all be real here. Do you want to wait an hour for this guy to talk back and forth with the security guys? As mentioned above, he was going out one way or the other and choosing to walk out and take it up with the airline once off the plane would have been the best option. I hate flying with idiots.

United should have not allowed them to get on the plane it they overbooked. Not excusing the overbooking bullshit by any means but that should all have been resolved before anyone boarded.
Best thing that ever happen to this man was being dragged off and it all being caught on video.. Who wanna get paid? Lawsuit pending and settlement coming up for sure...

Exactly - it's one thing to over book but it's another to let passengers on the plane then try to take them off just to accommodate your employees trying to hitch a ride. That's bullshit. Yes, the guy signed an agreement to allow changes to his flight but he's about to reach a huge settlement as a result of this one. Lucky mofo.
Airline policies are bullshit anyway. They can be late and delay you by moving you to another flight. But, you better not be late or try to make a change on your end.
