They'd be crazy to fire him. Is it his fault Jackson is injured? He's not without fault, but still one of the best in the game. Might have to beg for 1 more chance this summer.

Got to hand it to Jerry West... he got the Piston's 1st rnd pick this summer. Likely a lottery pick, in a deep draft, plus Harris & Bradley.

Gores was whining the other day "we're not winning enough"

Not exatly a vote of confidence for SVG.

Why didn't the Pistons trade for Randle? Effectively the same player as Griffin sans the 3pt shot and the ginger hair. Younger too!

Nobody's beating Toronto this season in the East, even if Detroit had Randle.
Cleveland is dog shit, even with Love.
    Horrible defense.

Jackson is a cancer. Having him out is addition by subtraction. This is a poorly constructed roster and that falls solely on van Grundy. They have no primary ball handler who can be a threat to pull up from 3 and no real shooters to space the floor for Drummond and Blake. Why they haven’t gotten Johnson a personal shooting coach is odd. All he needs is a decent shooting stroke to be a solid player for them.

Jayfly was right that at the minimum he needs to give up the gm role this offseason. He sounds resigned to getting axed and relaxing with a media gig. If Mark Jackson ever gets back to coaching, it would be a natural fit for him to call games with his brother and Breen. If not, I’m sure he can go play fat guy tennis with his twin ttwarrior.

Where The Fukkkkk is Van Gundy's credibility? What the hell has he won in a decade? Nothing. We're going to rate him on things 11 years ago? Players are totally different now. Old school doesn't work.

If Gores still gives Van Gundy the GM role... it's his own death wish. You have to ax him on both... GM and coaching. What core does Detroit have??? They don't even have a core. Ax everything.... and start over.

They can't even get 5,000 fans at the new arena! Ridiculous. Who wouldn't want to experience a new arena for cheap??? It tells you the Pistons organization is in trouble.

Gores isn't a good owner. It's on him.

Jackson is their primary ball handler that can pull up from three. Shooters: bullock/ ennis/ kennard/ tolliver and even griffin.

Johnson has more things wrong with him than a poor jump shot. Good point on SVG replacing the other Jackson though -don't think I can listen to that!

I wish a could say Jackson's injury hurt the team. But it didn't. He's only avg 14.6 a game this year. Last season... I believe he avg around 21.0 a game at HOME. I watched majority of his games... and he was inconsistent in his decision making... and his jump shot wasn't there. Use to make fantastic moves around the rim.... even that sucked this year.

What's remarkable is that Detroit went 4-0 first 4 games with Blake. They were pumped up as a unit... things were working. Blake now realizes what a sh#$ hole he's in now. Blake needs one more scorer to make his game better. Detroit doesn't have one good clutch scorer.

    Embarrassing Franchise now.

I watched a lot of Pistons games early in the season. They won 14 of their first 20, and Jackson was their go-to guy in the clutch and rather good at it. He & Griffin are a perfect fit on this well constructed team imo. We shall see, as he's set to return on this upcoming trip...

Detroit needs to play some defense... stop turning the ball over. Their transition defense is laughable.

You're going to have injuries during a season... you need ways to score consistently... and not turn the ball over. To say Detroit would be in the playoffs because of Reggie Jackson... is a stretch. Should of kept Bradley and Harris.... and got rid of Van Gundy. Any player could get injured. I wish Drummond would get injured. That inconsistent gump.

BS if Gores allowed Van Gundy to make the deal without his approval. Gores thought bringing a STAR PLAYER would help.... it hasn't. Made the team worse. Gave up too much talent to get Blake.

I hope Detroit gets a better coach next season.

Why is that a stretch?! You said so yourself the Pistons lack a scorer at the guard spot. Jackson is that player. On any team there's players you can afford to lose and players you can't afford to lose.

Pistons need to get rid of Johnson this summer. Trade him for a draft pick -what ever you can get. Reminds me of Artest

Jackson is a loser. You cannot win with him playing the 1. His view of his own game is not consistent with reality.

Stanley is still salvageable. Change of scenery will do him good.

Pistons or Kings should be relocated to Seattle anyways.
