Here's some advice - don't ask advice from a buncha degenerates on an Internet gambling forum who probably most have never gotten a job that requires an interview! Lol


Use your computer, sit at a table/desk, wear a button up and maybe a tie, and no pants whatsoever.

And check your background for anything embarrassing.

I had an interview using Skype. I wore a button up shirt with a tie. I made sure I had a good background of the living room and that my cat wouldn't get in on the interview. I wore my shorts hoping they wouldn't move the video for some tour of my home.

Background should be a perfectly arranged bookcase. A family picture on it. Test it for lighting, needs to be bright and clean with no glare. You can wear a slighttt amount of make up on the forehead area to prevent creepy looking glare. White shirt and dark jacket and tie. Wedding band and college ring the only jewelry. Practice. Do not move around a lot. Confident guys make slow deliberate movements. FU'ps are jittery.

It wasnt bad at all. The hardest part is not knowing where my eyes were positioned on her screen, or where my gaze appeared to be. It was impossible for me to look at the camera, its at the top of the my 27" imac, her eyes were a good 5" below the camera, it was impossible to look at the camera and read her facial expression.

The interview lasted about 45-50 minutes, conversation was easy, she asked the generic questions which I already had answers for

Shes flying to Seattle tomorrow from LA for a face-to-face interview.

She's ready to hire me tomorrow. Im going to tell her thanks, but no thanks. I have a great job and I cant get past the travel. I know how much they're offering, and I know what I make right now working 4 days/week, and the big bucks at the end of the rainbow sound sweet but Im not willing to miss out on every other week of my daughters life.

My only advice for anyone going through a facetime interview, call someone the night before and ask them where your gaze is when you look at the middle of the screen vs at the camera. Otherwise just look sharp
