The Arizona Wildcats will win it all this year

I'll start by saying this year is wide open. Probably more teams with a legitimate shot than any season in the past 5 years or so.

But I like Arizona to go all the way this year. They are the most complete team top to bottom. Markkanen is a stud lottery pick with a game that reminds me of a young Nowitzki. Getting Allonzo Trier back is huge. The one thing they were missing was some scoring punch in their back court. A guy they could go to who can create his own shot at will. Trier is that guy. Kobi Simmons is a hell of a player who gets better every game. Alkins is an athletic wing who plays well at both ends. Kadeem Allen gives them a much needed veteran presence. Jackson-Cartwright is a reliable backup point guard. Chance Comanche is coming along nicely.

Like I said, there are a bunch of teams with a shot this year. Arizona is the one team that stands out to me. They really just don't have any glaring holes.

Curious to see who everyone likes at this point in the season. Post your thoughts here.

unc, arizona, villanova and wisconsin. Too early to narrow down more then that. If UCLA could learn to play defense i think they have a lot of talent too but if they stick to just scoring 80 points and playing no defense i dont like them to have a chance to win it all

Ya, my Bruins have no chance. Never seen a team this talented that can't stop a nosebleed with 8 boxes of tissue

Trier was the last piece. I really like this team. Was thinking them or UCLA but UCLA has some work to do.

If UL is hitting their 3s they could make a run, one of the top 5 defensive teams in country, offense is a little shaky though

Cuse wins the ACC Tourney, then wins it all.

    A man can dream.

Sucks we just can't get the pieces put together. Easily one of the top 15 most talented teams. Just a clusterfck.

Wouldn't mind Arizona winning it all. Anyone but Kentucky, Duke, UConn, Pitt, Nova, or GTown. No clue how any are even doing. CBB is dead to me this year.

I enjoy watching Carly Shimkus this morning. Then Kristen Fisher, Jenna Lee, Lisa Boothe, Sandra Smith, and the rest of the Fox sexy ones. Damn, this is my life now, Man, I feel bad for Liberals.

But yeah, go Cuse, or someone who hasn't won in a while.

I like Zona also, Final Four in Glendale so they could have a nice fan section there supporting them

Def wide open this year should be a great tournament

    Kentucky.

Although I'll admit last night shocked me.

Still, top 3 PG, best SG, top 10 C, pretty good depth, good tourney coach. They'll have to improve some on D though.

Looking ahead to the Kansas game last night and Vols always plays us tough at their place. I expected a tight game but some funky stuff happened in that one. Down two with the ball on a run and monk hits a wet spot on the floor causing a travel, then willis tripping and the tenn guy falling over him causing free throws. They have to step it up on D though just like UCLA. I think we'll get there

I would even venture to say there's 15-20 teams who have a shot. All you have to do is get hot at the right time. Off the top of my head:

Nova (Nova basketball is a Fortune 500 company, it runs itself)
UNC (Great coaching and some experienced players as well)
Gonzaga (Few's best team ever, seriously, these guys are my pick to win it all barring any injuries)
    Arizona (Read the OP)
    UCLA (Lonzo Ball, enough said)
Oregon (Underrated, slept on, Altman gets the most out of his guys)
Virginia (Most sound defensive team in country imo)
Notre Dame (Lots of shooters and great coach in Coach Bray)
West Virginia (Unpredictable, but proven they can beat anyone vs Baylor and Kansas)
Kansas (Probably best guards in country)
Butler (The best Butler team post-Stevens)
    Baylor (Freaky athletic, tough defense)
Florida State (10+ deep and scrappy as hell)
Kentucky (Coach Cal, all star team, enough said)
Xavier (Very well coached, Sumner is a fantastic player)
Iowa State (Maybe a reach but have great veteran guard and everyone can shoot)
Creighton (Well coached and if they can survive life without Watson who knows)

Oregon had some injuries, but when healthy they are scary dangerous. A lot of NBA talent, play defense, and they can be a matchup nightmare for a lot of teams.

Lol so you watch one kentucky game this season and it happens to be the one where UK let's the win slip away and you win on your tenn bet and now you think they have "ZERO" chance in the tourney... That's rich.

Kentucky is my pick, but it's not "vs. the field". I got UK at 9/1 odds early. But I could certainly see Kansas, FSU, Villanova, UNC, Louisville, Gonzaga, Arizona, UCLA all with good chances to win it. About 10 teams that wouldn't surprise me. Good luck tonight laker.

    Kentucky has a terrible
    Coach

If pitinio coached Kentucky they would never lose

Already have great pros as Frosh and will get knocked off because of poor coaching

Lol this is moronic. Also, Calipari always gets the best of Pitino in the tournament. Just look at the last time they played when Kentucky knocked off Louisville as an 8 seed.
