Spurs have no identity without Duncan

Still solid like usual but this team isn't winning anything. You DONT win in the NBA without a big time Star
Leonard is a great player but too quiet and shy.

    Better luck next time pops.

    Leonard is big time, son.

    You think he's too quiet?

Does that mean you think Duncan was a vocal leader?

If I could pick one guy to start a team with in the league right now, it would probably be Kawhi Leonard. He's the second best player behind LeBron and still only 25.

I agree. The issue is that he had no one to play with

Yea they're not good enough to beat Golden State with this roster. They need to add one more stud to have a chance.

Duncan and his old tired legs were holding them back last year. They've gotten younger and more athletic. They are the only team in the West with a chance to knock off Golden State, and I would still only say it's about 20% or so.

I wonder what it takes to create an identity. How identities in the NBA are formed. I'm so confused.

PG used to be cool to be around but now he thinks he's the best thing on the Earth, Larry doesn't like that shit one bit, he cuts him down all the time in privacy to remind him he isn't shit but a good player without anything worthwhile to show for it

I'm not sure if thats what you meant about identity but thats my best guess

I could see him in a Laker uniform sooner rather than later

Also could see Nate gone sooner than later

I had high hopes for this team, but so far they are garbage for the talent they have. Teague, Turner, Thad Young, CJ Miles are definitely pieces I would want to keep together.

I've heard a lot of rumblings about the Lakers targeting Paul George.

Might be good for both sides.

    He needs a new start.

He's so Hollywood now and is from Cali, always lives there in the off season

I think if the Pacers could find a way for a 3 team trade, it would benefit those 3 teams. Not sure who Larry would want from the
    Lakers/Team X

Already have a PG in Teague(who they want to extend his deal) so Russell off the table I assume...I mean what is left? Ingram? Picks?

PG's contract is through 2018-19' and cheap compared to what players are getting now

Herb Simon needs to learn to stop being a cheap FUKK

Good points on the pacers, but I was alluding to earlier posts I had in a lakerman thread dealing with resting players. Identities are formed during adversity. You don't know who you are until you struggle. Until you're challenged. And challenged together. That's not just basketball. That's life. When you rest guys like pop, guys not even integrated in the system yet, you're risking identity of your team.

Lakerman doesn't even realize he is subconsciously agreeing with this point, which he refuted in his earlier thread.
