yeah i have at least 50 of those types of transactions

i'm guessing there are way more people pissed off at bitcoin's move to $4000 (because they didn't make $$$ or made little) than there are people happy about it

it can hit 6000 by the end of the year. maybe 10000 by before 2019.

20,000 by 2020? The numbers seem to be destined.

The manpower used in exercising this would be astronomical per each SSN US wide.

How could this even be possible? Even the government doesn't know how to accurately stop this.

Exactly. As I posted the other day I got out to not be greedy and plenty of chances for reentry on pullbacks. The more I look at it, I think it will have another major crash before the 7500/10000 level everyone wants it to be. Too much going off cheering and not logic and history of investing.

I am a firm believer that BTC is a stock and not a way that we should be depositing and withdrawing funds into sportsbooks. The sportsbooks are just greedy, they should not be catering to using BTC for deposits and withdrawals. Also wondering why coinbase is the end all be all for a virtual wallet yet they will shut down your money if you try to deposit money into a sportsbook. Then all the hassle of moving the money from coinbase into a vehicle that will allow deposits and withdrawals into sportsbook costs 15% per transaction is highway robbery. The books should NOT be promoting BTC. Just my honest opinion as I navigate being new to BTC a month ago.

What are you using Sammy? When I started it seems as if Coinbase was the ONLY way to go. I am already frustrated trying to get money into sportsbooks. Getting the money out was no problem, getting it in through BTC is a racket.

Coinbase is terrible. They charge stupid fees plus they don't let you get in at the correct price. If bitcoin is at 4200 and you buy you will be in at 4220 or higher plus fees. There's that 7 day gamble on waiting for deposits as well. Can easily lose 20 to 30% over 7 day waiting period.

Took advantage of the dips in the spec moves and grabbed up some more IOTA and XRP (reluctantly on Ripple).

Already great investment % return on the tangle jangle! Now I'm not looking at any of them again until end of next week unless stop orders trigger. Extra football fun money!

Good points, plus Coinbase is the ONLY EXCHANGE ON EARTH CURRENTLY BEING SUED BY THE IRS FOR ITS CLIENT'S PURCHASE, SALES, AND TRADING RECORDS.

Unless you're part of the miniscule percentage of people who've paid 100% of the taxes on your crypto profits -- and let's face it, you're not -- then this is a really significant fact that seems under-appreciated at SBR.

You should leave CB for a whole host of reasons, but if you stay, you'll definitely want an "intermediary wallet," a place YOU control so you can send your BTC from CB to your wallet to sportsbooks (CB doesn't like transactions with sportsbooks, so it makes sense to break the link), and do withdrawals in reverse order: sportsbooks to your wallet to CB, for sale or trade.

There's two good options for intermediary wallets:

    1. Online wallets that aren't connected to exchanges. Blockchain.info's good: https://blockchain.info/wallet/#/

    2. A wallet you download to your computer and run yourself. Electrum's pretty easy to download, install and use: https://electrum.org/#home

Good information MPS. I already have kraken and bitstamp. I guess I'll keep getting wallets until I get it. Thanks MPS. I've read up on block chain and I will look into electrum.

Cool, cool, you've made good choices. Bitstamp's the safest of all exchanges, as it's completely regulated by the EU. It's also incorporated in Luxembourg (ditto Blockchain.info), and operates out of Slovenia, so it's well beyond the easy reach of the IRS. Kraken's solid too, although they're out of SF, so less insulated from IRS intrusion.

All exchanges eventually buck at being used just as wallets, especially for transfers to and from sportsbooks, so getting an intermediary wallet will insulate you from their meddling.

It drug down the others for sure. I think it's just settling out the miners choices and some made the jump if it made them more money. I expect a ton of volatility into October so I'm glad Im currently out of both for now. Crazy swings, love them but still have to be smart.

So you're all cash right now? I think that's a fine position. I'm heavier cash than normal right now, too. I've been selling way more BTC than I've been buying since it crossed $3k.

Anyway, we're overdue for one of those patented BTC crashes where it loses 25% in 3 days and you and me will be ready to mis-call the bottom while we wade back in (at least that's my history -- I'm very far from perfect at predicting exact tops and bottoms).

    GL to you, my friend!

I'm out of both BTC and BCH at the moment. I tried not to get greedy the past few weeks and a tong of uncertainty still on which one will swing up or down. I'll wade back in them in October most likely.

Currently holding from these entry points:

    NEO 24.34

    ETH 217.87

    XRP .157

IOTA .37 and bought more on dip Friday so glad it's already recovered back to just under 1.00. I'll sell off those rebuys at 1.13 hopefully within two weeks and leave the .37 batch in the wallet until other exchanges pick it up and more protocols are ready and see how high it can run.
I don't doubt Bitcoin can run to 6,000 but for me I'd rather hit the bigger returns on my money instead of the smaller gains from less money being put into such a high cost basis. I've already made off like a bandit since June so I don't want to give it all away if a flash crash happens and be like those who panic sold this week.

That was fun. All the brand new BTC owners were like, "My God, it's down TEN PERCENT from its ATH!"

The rest of us were like, "If a 10% move in a week shakes your cage, then maaaaaaybe crypto's not for you."
