    easy to lose 100,000 though

Only winners are guys that take both sides to a game small profit and spot players

Probably not, but you can lose that much easily. Wait there is one way that might work. Bet one game, 20,000 times, do you know what that means? I am not being smart here, that is a term used in the NE part of the US. Equivalent to 100,000 dollars. So bet one game, win and walk away. Then it is possible.

You'd have to be moving about $1mil or more in total bets.

If I bet $50k in a season, a good season is profiting $5k.

    High volume players limit variance.

JJ, you are more than correct my friend. Probably closer to 99.9%. As I have mentioned numerous times I have been around gamblers for decades and have witnessed no winners in the long run. None. So no, if you are an average player you will lose. Does that mean you will lose very year, no it does not. But before the fat lady sings you will be a loser. Long time players know this.

However, I often get arguments about this. People come on and say I win all the time, but when I ask them to display there plays for everybody to see, well then they have a thousand different excuses. How many guys did we see through the years JJ that say they can hit at 60% or higher. My god it must be in the dozens, all failed. Remember? jokesters!

I'm tired of my 9-to-5 job, becoming cubicle slave, yes, it's a good government job paying about $90k with pension and other benefits. It's hard to enjoy the quality time with my kid and family. And I'm taking small steps to become FT sports better, maybe, another 3 years. Thanks for your opinion guys!

It is actually easier at the beginning you will get more bonuses and comps on bets but if you win the bonuses will be gone, also lines get slightly more accurate every year.

wow...horrible choice to quit your job. $90k with benefits and pension equates to probably $130 to 150K in everyday cash. wait until you have to pay for healthcare and all the other benefits you lose in the long run. especially if you are anywhere close to having a pension.

also don't forget about your raises in the long run. DON'T DO IT!

Bet $1000 a game (-110 line) for 2000 bets for the year, and hit at 55%, and you got yourself $100,000 for the year.

Whenever I get time, I analyze the data from the previous years. And I'm building a good model. From the past few years of lines, I found out certain games hit 8 out of 10 times. I was only to find out last week.

That's too many wagers ... Better off spot betting $2,500 a game 220 times & hitting 60%. (-110) At the end of the day you have to pick winners. I make 10 bets a month ranging from 1-5k & I throw in 100 dollar parlays from time to time. Up 45k in 7 months.

Sure it is but outside of the normal issues like hitting the right plays and not going crazy on a losing streak and such, you have to worry about limits, books not taking your action, getting your money safely, etc
