    Thoughts on Cowboys' Key Players tonight?

    They play the first half? I understand not wanting to risk a key player getting hurt, but at the same time I don't see any coach choosing to fully rest players tonight and Week 17, on top of a first round bye. Too much time off imho..agree/disagree?

    So Sanchez is going to be the go to guy if anything happens to Dak in the playoffs? If Romo is the fallback guy, he's gotta get his reps in, right?

    Yah, keeping guys game ready with this much locked up so early and a first round bye is not the easiest task. Cowboys have great RB depth...have to think Elliot is going to be limited.

    if you base it off the line, cowboys are still -6.5 in a game you can see Detroit NEEDS to win. Detroit can lose tonight and next week and not make the playoffs.

    I have Zeke for fantasy and all articles I see says Garrett is not sitting any starters or plans on resting them. Back in 2011 I believe, Cowboys rested guys last 3 weeks of season as #1 seed and lost 2 of their last 3 and lost first playoff game.

    I expect Cowboys to play starters and beat up on a potential playoff team....maybe week 17 2nd half rest some guys up.

    A few people have mentioned in various threads about resppect not being the mop up guy with Romo. But if Dak goes out won't Romo be the guy? He needs some reps...

    It's a game on the schedule. Play it or go home. Don't even show up. You only play 16 games a year...

    Not in favor of resting in football unless injured.

    Elliot has rushing record on the line.

    NFL players don't rest games, their careers are defined by statistics and missing 1 game especially for an RB or WR can be huge difference.

    We already look at a RB and see big difference between that guy getting 1400 yards that year or 1700, and we almost never check how many games the guy played, or check yards per game as we would ppg in the nba.

    I'm thinking the Boys play the starters in the 1st half just to stay sharp and get some PT in before the playoffs start..... Then I'm thinking they will probably begin to rest players in the second half regardless of the score...

    That's what I would do anyways if I were the head coach.. Seeing all the quarterback injuries going on around the league would spook me, wouldn't wanna risk an injury with Dak or Zeke..

    So maybe the sharp play would be to play the boys in the 1st half and then perhaps consider playing the Lions in the second half...

    I already went 4-1 this week but missed the 2x .. Bad luck on my one and only loss this week again just like last week....

    Yep we both have one week left and both could maybe sneak in with a final 5-0 week and barely place. Prizes are crap for 90-100th place though...
