I love these type of threads, not to out anybody. Just to show how hard it is to clear a profit.
If u think about, where is he gaining an edge? The rake is constant. Anyone that plays ring-games knows this. The dealers feel like they earned a tip on any pot > the blinds.
Doubt he went broke playing poker. If most poker pros just stuck to poker they would be in good shape. After all that is what made them financially successful in the first place. However most are degens and go broke from other vices like craps, sports, drugs, etc...
I think these people used to be balling out, but then newcomers and math geeks started playing the games and these old pros thought they could still use intuition lol. Once poker strategy became more common these guys didn't keep up and probably lost it all due to that and thinking the poker boom and easiness would last forever
