The largest NBA '1H / Implied 2H Total Differential' of all time tonight = GS @ Brk

Up until about 2 years ago, books had weak 1H & 2H numbers and if a bettor kept a good spreadsheet he could take advantage of those weak numbers. But, as expected, the books got wise and now their 1H / 2H numbers are spot on.

Tonights 13.5 point difference between the 1H total (121.5) and the implied 2H total (108) [229.5 - 121.5 = 108] is the largest difference of 1H Total and Implied 2H Total ever (of course, the books having only started to understand these numbers in the past couple of years, it is really only a 2 year old record). Historical numbers are closing, so this can change.

What's all this mean = take Under the 2Q total (60, as I write this).

I'm not really a math guy but you might be reading more into this than there is. The differential is high but the total is also very high at ~230 which contributes to the differential being high.

108/229.5 = 0.47059 so still falls roughly in the 47%-53% range

It seems like Utah used to have high differential totals, except it was in reverse. Low first half totals, and in the second half the total was much higher. This was the case for most of their home games.

It is a lot more than two years old Suns and Kings games had way higher 1h than 2h totals 8+ years ago.

You're wrong. I've got the data, but it is not worth my time to pull up the numbers to prove your assertion is merely anecdotal or a one-off, but I'm certain you're wrong.
