Used to live in Van biggie, depends what kinda food you looking for.

    Italian - check out Stephos
    Sushi - check out Minatos
Mexican - check out chronic tacos for a chill place to eat

a bunch of suggestions from me,

cactus club - hot girls, roadhouse-gourmet food - is really close to you...... or you could go to cactus club at english bay. simply amazing location. also one up on burrard.

Keg/Earl's/Moxie's/Joey's are much the same idea as Cactus. casual semi-gourmet and super-hot servers. Keg a bit different. great casual steak house... i recommended Cactus over them due to your locations and them having three showcase restaurants in downtown vancouver - 2 very close to your hotel.

Miku Sushi is just south and west from your hotel......... simply amazing sushi and dining experience. was 3 month waiting list for weekend reservations.... maybe best sushi meal i've ever had and i've had alot.... literally steps from the front door of your hotel.

Tojo is world famous sushi, but not that close to you AND i didn't like it when i went recently. think it lives on reputation to large degree these days. preferred their old location and decor too.

last restaurant i'd mention that is "vancouver legend" is Vij's Indian Restaurant... really loved and the proprietor - was on dragon's den - interacts alot with customers... was at 13th and granville but he opened on cambie. not sure if he kept granville place or not... i'm told now he's only on cambie now.

great restaurants that are just like great restaurants anywhere else - hawksworth, west, black and blue steakhouse. the ones i recommeneded in above paragraphs are "vancouver institutions" so to speak - except for Miku which is new but amazing.
