Lived in CT for my entire life (except 4 years in NY for school). Think its time to start thinking of branching out and exploring more areas of the US. Have you fellas been local your entire lives or have moved around a bit?

Better to stay local. Moving all around all the time has caused me to not have friends becuase I am sick of making the effort to meet new people. Especially the neighbor folks that judge you on how good the lawn and landscaping look.

I moved every 2-3 years being in the military....from Oklahoma City to Iceland to Germany to Norway to points in between. Loved every second of it and wouldn't change it for anything

man i moved to arizona from ct for a job, wasnt what i expected, very tough to meet people unless your from work or school. i have to wait til i can transfer back, home is where the heart is

Lived in Colorado, Florida, Illinois, and back to Florida. Wouldn't change anything now but it was tough in beginning. If your taking new job - look at the people you are interviewing with / workforce your applying to. If all seem to be around your age and as much like someone you can hang with - that's all you can ask for.

Lived in Atlanta my whole life, with spurts in MS (Hotty Toddy) and FLA. Have traveled internationally a lot and love it. If i move it will only be to live in NYC, Chitown, or Europe.

yea its weird. I feel so comfortable here but also feel sheltered. Being here for 24 years gets you in a frame of mind that everything is always one way.

Sanchez Europe is freakin awesome man. Will probably going back to the UK and Ireland next year. Huge Soccer fan and got to see Stoke and Watford play at home. Can't wait to go back.

Lonegambler I feel ya too. I'm in the banking industry so its a lot of people older than me. Gotta feel whether or not the company is worth the jump to another state

Military brat, lived all over the country. Adult life college and beyond lived in PA, NYC, DC area, SC, FL, and GA. The worst were SC, FL, GA, but great times in NYC and DC area but back in PA but visit both DC and NYC often both within a 1.5 to 2 hour drive.

The 2 cultures are worlds apart. I like and dislike stuff from both.

See I think moving to another state is a big jump. I'd think another country would be insane, at least the initial culture shock
