    they were a lead plaintiff in the case against New Jersey when our residents voted to legalize sports gambling here
    a main argument was that the "integrity" of the sport would be damaged if a state with an NHL team [and a few more close by] had legalized sports gambling

    Quebec City nah. At least Vegas has a nice new arena. Vegas will attract a lot of tourists. Any of the Canadian teams in town and it will be 80% road fans vs the locals.

    It's going to work here, my only issue was the expansion, opposing to relocating. Not sure why Carolina Hurricanes didn't relocate here.

    Unless Quebec City in the next year is getting an expansion as well, adding two more to the league small mistake.

    The NHL wanted to see if a possible expansion city could buy 10,000 (I think it was 10K) season tickets to support a new team. Vegas got there, in a month or two. Quebec City bought them up in a half hour. Gotta show them some love.
