it was a landslide either way when you consider the hole republicans start in but to break 300 really strengthens the message that Obama's approval rating is complete BS and more likely around 35%.

A close look at the number reveals that Trump won Michigan the same way he won Wisconsin, Ohio and Pennsylvania -- by way over-performing in working-class communities, which was enough to offset Clinton votes in the urban and surburban corridors.

Trump actually won Macomb County, which is the 2nd (or maybe 3rd) most populous county in MI. That was huge, and shows suburbanites really supported him. No surprise that he won all the rural counties.

Trump won for one reason: Clinton was such a piss poor candidate.

Disappointed in myself for not having enough balls to put more on him, and specifically in Michigan. I called from day one that he would win MI, and PA. Wisconsin was a surprise to me. I'm glad I won some money, but it could have been so much more. Though, in the end I'm just happy that he won, and the Clinton's are done.

not a fan of either. but trump won michigan, wisconsin and pennsylvania by very small % margins - penn a little bigger than the other 2...... the races really tightened as vote counts got towards 100% (mich/wisc hilary improved, penn trump)

hilary won the popular vote and if she had got 1% more vote she'd have won...... plus i think it is assumed that if you reallocated 3rd party votes they would go much more to hilary but might not have swung it.

just to reiterate, i hate hilary but have to call it as i see it.

These are states that never go red, so even if he took them by 1 vote this is a huge thing.

Yea, when my friend text me that Michigan and Wisconsin was turning red , we started rooting and watching those 2 states. Felt like we were watching a game then. They were the big surprise state. Knew Trump would win if it stay like that.
