I don't like taking road teams in survival pools, but I like your thinking. I had Philly last week( you can only take a team once during season in pool I'm in)

    Grade: D
never take a road team if you can help it...much better options out there...McCown is a much a better QB than that glass jaw fraud RGtheturd...from all reports coming out of the Browns camp, he actually outplayed and outperformed Bob by a big margin and should have been the starter from day one...and being at home and against a division rival, no way in hell would I take the Ravens straight up in this spot...but good luck bro!...

my week 2 pick is Carolina..."easiest" game on the board...biggest spread and pretty much a no brainer...no need to get cute...the goal of a survivor pool, just like the late and great Jim Valvano used to say about the NCAA tournament, is just to survive and advance!...

    B+

Did you take Ravens because you believe that they are very good or because you believe the Browns are that bad?

I'm not sure Ravens are legit and they do tend to play to the level of their competition. You should be safe though.

Best of luck and win the pool.

I believe the Browns are terrible basically looked at money line and spread and felt they were heavily favored for road game must be reason...I agree master on home team theory just hope for a huge upset to bury the pool and let me hang in there

I like Baltimore too. But I also had Bears, Cardinals, Seahawks, and Chiefs in week 1 and I almost lost all 4 of them. I like Baltimore this week too. I have Baltimore and Detroit this week. I don't know who is really good or bad yet. Cleveland and Rams I think are bad, Green Bay and Pittsburgh I think are good, but that is only after 1 week.

I try to stay away from picking the mega favourites every week in hopes that they'll lose and bury the pool. There are 1300 people in my Survivor and every year a double digit favourites bury 30-50% of them before week 6. There is some risk in taking a road team in a divisional matchup but the browns really are shit so if you're doing that, you've picked the right spot imo.

Still haven't made my two picks yet (double entry).. May take Ravens with one of them but with the QB switch in Cleveland I'll probably go elsewhere for this week.

If I had to pick now I would take Zona at home vs. TB and DET at home vs. TEN

    Good Luck!

    Agree MLD,

A lot can happen in a season and some of the tougher match ups later in the season might not be so tough with injuries.

I watched the Baltimore game and I think people are not giving their defense much credit. I like BAL here. They are a much, much better team.

Week 3 seems really tough....I don't trust the Dolphins even though most will pick them

Packers might be my pick but Lions aren't bad so there's no real home runs

    Already used Seattle week 1

you do realize that Cody Kessler is starting for the Browns, right?...Josh McCown injured his shoulder in the Ravens game and is out for the game...Cleveland just signed career backup journeyman QB Charlie Whitehurst......I don't normally trust the Dolphins either, but this will be probably be the best spot to pick them all year long against an inferior opponent, not to mention their home opener...

better to take risks now and get elminated then have a choice of bum teams later in the year.
would u be willing to take texans over patriots with no good patriot qb,

    Id say go for it

Might be the best week to take the colts out. Heck top wr out, 2 o and d lineman out, and woodhead now done.

But why? There are only seventeen weeks. You shouldn't have to take a bottom fifteen team.

Planning on picking against the Browns heavily down the line but I just have a weird feeling about this week

Cody Kessler is an unknown and Miami is a weak team mentally

They should win but I'd be pissed at myself if I lost with a shit team in week 3

I think so. Haven't really looked, but so far I've used the Ravens and the Panthers.
