Blaze, they get the attention because they want all the attention for being the greatest conference like no one else exists. You take the good with the bad.

Ya the SEC hangs their hat on being the toughest conference from top to bottom. Could still argue that it is, but The gap has closed. It could have been a lot worse. These teams have got to get some quarterback play. Even Dobbs looked like shit

Agreed, it's awful. Not you but many SEC homers think there is some huge gap like it was there for awhile. Like I said before I really don't have anything against the SEC, I watch a lot of games in that league. Just have a problem with the biased rankings that goes on, especially in recent years. LSU and Tennessee aren't even close to top 10 teams and that was pretty evident. This isn't 2002 anymore

SEC is still by far the strongest but it's not as big of a gap as it was in the past

A lot of them may be bad or overrated, but then there's Alabama....and they are the real deal.

I think that goes without saying. Kind of hard not to be good when you pull home 10 years of top class recruits.

A lot of football left but assuming this game holds how big of a hit does the SEC really take? 4 wins over ranked opponents, Yeah LSU loss was bad but other losses were projected bottom dwellers.

Maybe the demise talk was a little premature?

No one is talking about the demise of the conference. I am saying it pretty evident that SEC is not what it once was. Bama will always be in the running because of Saban and his recruiting but other than that there isn't 5 really strong teams anymore like before.
