    Do guys make extra points playing SBR poker?

    Looking to increase my points income. Is poker the way to go? Or will I lose points playing poker?

    No. I take my points, which are basically worthless to me at this point, and use them to go all-in on baseball plays. Got Braves today for about 300 something. How'd I do?

    Somewhat depends on how good you are...guys here average up to 40k points a year from poker, although the average is much lower. Even if you aren't that good, the payout structure is heavily participation based (pays out far more places than regular, skill-based poker tournies)...there are a few guys here who average 10-20k points a year just by showing up, playing very basic poker and mincashing a lot.

    There are better uses of your time for sure than to grind out an hour+ for 40-80 points, but if you're more concerned with points than $$, poker is the way to go.

    Poker tournaments are the easiest and safest way to accumulate points.

    You will lose points in the casino.

    You can gain a few points on trivia but be sure to join Beat The Prick contest. You can get a decent amount there.

    As always, there is the sports book.

    As as far poker ring games; beware. There are some solid players out there.

    I bluff a lot and I've won a fair amount playing poker. The key to success is raise reraise and bet. If you have a doubt about something just shove all your chips in. Really whats the worst thing that can happen? You'll get 12 more points tomorrow.
