The pro drift thing isn't really something I follow but I have the utmost respect for the guys who do it. Kind of like NASCAR. Don't watch or follow it but am well aware of how difficult oval track racing is.

Ive heard of Billy Hamill he raced in England,you remember Bruce Penhall and Kelly Jelly Moran were both Californians that came to race over here for awhile,you breed some incredible riders.

Yeah i wandered down the youtube rabbithole and found speedway racing years ago. Shit is crazy. Dirt track is such a different feel than asphalt. Had a buddy who drove midget for years and actually made some good money doing it. Things are savage.

I always thought part of nascar's charm was that it was so low-technology. It's the simplicity that keeps the racing so close and so interesting.

One of the reasons that I love prototype racing because it offers so much flexibility for manufacturers to do something different as we say when Audi dominated Le Mans for years with the Audi TDI program and now with the introduction of hybrid powertrains. Also very cool to see the resurgence of the Ford racing program. The New Ford GT is fuccking awesome.

Last car I owned was an Audi but it was horribly unreliable and cost me a ton in maintenance. Thinking about a BMW 1 series as my next car when I have the money. Used of course but anything fast as somewhat reliable.

Really want a Nissan 300ZX but they are hard to find in North America and expensive if they are in decent shape.

I am constantly on all the auto industry websites. I also waste my time on Daily Turismo and Bring a trailer looking for cool cars that come up for sale. Have a good friend who makes his money buying and restoring sought after cars.
