How should the Browns deal with Isaiah Crowell???

    http://www.cleveland.com/browns/inde..._i_was_ve.html

I am a bit torn here, but having said that here are some simple facts.....
*If Crowell were white and he posted an image of a white citizen murdering a black police officer, he would not only have been already released by the Browns, he would be fearing for his life.
*If Crowell were a third-string lineman at the end of his career, he would have been immediately released. Browns tonight would have been touting how they quickly reacted by doing the right thing. As it is, they are considering taking the "we are all about second chances" approach.

Just what they Browns didn't need. The most dysfunctional franchise in sports now has to deal with another PR nightmare. Meanwhile, Crowell - if he survives this from a career standpoint - will face all kinds of heat wherever he goes / wherever the Browns play.

Cleveland police union threatens not to work Browns games

Posted by Mike Florio on July 12, 2016, 5:37 PM EDT

The Browns don’t believe it’s good enough for running back Isaiah Crowell’s to simply apologize for posting on social media an image of an attack on a police officer. The union that represents Cleveland’s police officers agrees.

Stephen Loomis, the president of Cleveland Police Patrolmen’s Association, calls Crowell’s gesture a “store-bought apology.” In comments to TMZ, Loomis also described Crowell’s post as being as “offensive as putting a picture of historical African-American men being hung from a tree in the 60s.”

Loomis has a specific suggestion for what Crowell needs to do next.

“He needs to go to Dallas, help the families who lost their loved ones last week, write them a check, look them in the eyes and give a heartfelt apology,” Loomis told TMZ. If Crowell doesn’t, there will be consequences.

“I will pull Cleveland officers, sheriffs, state troopers out of First Energy Stadium this season if he doesn’t make it right,” Loomis said. “You’re a grown-ass man, and you claim you were too emotional to know it was wrong? Think we’ll accept your apology? Kiss my ass.”

The Browns haven’t cut Crowell, presumably because they value his football skills. If he were lingering at the bottom of the roster, he’d already be gone. If the team is going to keep him, it would be wise for the Browns to encourage him to do what Loomis has requested.

He's not sorry. People who believe in ideology like that have it rooted deep inside of them. Total bs that he'll get a free pass on this.

As stated above, if he was white he'd be currently unemployed. Fukk him.

    I know you're right. He isn't sorry.

To be fair you bring up if he was white he would be fired.

If he was white odds are he wouldn't be an NFL running back in the first place.

Does everyone remember this guy got tossed off the Georgia team for getting caught by " cops " for firearms and weed ?
From Georgia to Alabama State I believe.
Yea , he's upset the cops popped him for being stupid about 6 years ago , so he has probably held that grudge since then .

Another liberal scumbag trying to justify hate towards cops and law abiding citizens.

Maybe you should make a stand against black people who kill other blacks at a rates of 10x do. Or maybe make a stand against 2/3 of black kids who don't have fathers at home. Or jail populations, low rate of education among blacks, crime, Chicago, etc.

    Thugs always looking for excuses.

Not a smart decision on his part. Now if it was a picture of a cop who had been convicted of a homicide maybe it could get a pass.

Browns should do what is in the best interest of the product they are putting on field. To hear the president of Cleveland police union threaten to pull the police from Browns security detail unless he makes his apology sincere enough for them is just ignorant. In the mind of Crowell, the police in Cleveland haven't made a sincere apology or meaningful changes for their excessive use of force and weapons. I think one is way more important than the other in the big picture.

I do know that he better be squeaky clean while driving around Ohio. He gets pulled over and ouch.

This Steven Loomis is the perfect example of why our law enforcement is so screwed up. He bitches to a website that only women should be reading, makes threats, tries to dictate the terms and after calling someone in a round about way "immature" proceeds to tell him to "kiss his ass".

Smart move to take away a revenue stream from your fellow officers. Now they will just have another excuse to rob and steal from the people they are supposed to serve and protect when they can't make ends meet.

Loomis has now backtracked because Crowell is cutting a check to the Dallas PD. I'm sure it had nothing to do with the officers in his union telling him to shut the f up because they want that OT detail money.

Crowell was out of line for the post because he is a public figure. He has already been punished by having to play in that shithole of a city called Cleveland.

I'm probably the least racist individual on SBR... I see nothing wrong with a BLACK gentlemen being this way! He has been raised as a primate. He has never seen another BLACK gentlemen being lynched. This is the WHITE mans fault for bringing these worthless focks here in the first place. Let's continue to accept our BLACK brethren as equals. Seems to be workn out quite nicely! When the shyt hits the fan and you are a white sympathizer and you are beside them you are one of em and will be dealt with in the same manner(LOVED)lol. All the LOVE to my homies! Hopefully the BLACK Panthers strap-up this week in Cleveland. They will need it!
