    Boston Cab Driver Returns $187K in Cash Left Behind by Passenger, Police Say!!!



    A Boston taxi driver turned in nearly two hundred thousand dollars' worth of cash he found in a backpack in his car, police said.    After dropping a passenger off at his destination of Massachusetts Avenue and Tremont Street near Northeastern University's campus Friday afternoon, the driver noticed the bag, filled with about $187,000 in cash, sitting in the backseat, according to the Boston Police Department.
    The driver immediately brought the bag to police headquarters, which received a call from the passenger as they were taking inventory of its contents, police said.

    Police released the bag back to the owner after he arrived at police headquarters and provided proof of ownership.
    "This hackney driver exhibited exemplary behavior and his honest deed should be recognized," said Boston Police Department Commissioner William Evans. "His actions represent the high standards that our department has for our drivers."
    Police did not comment on why the passenger was carrying such a large amount of cash.

    The cab driver stated that he is living paycheck to paycheck and barely has enough cash to feed his children at times, but said he returned it because it was the right thing to do.

    how do you accidentally leave that much cash in a cab? the guy who got the inheritance will blow it on hookers and blow.

    this is the reason why you shouldn't leave too much before you die. you sacrifice and become a miser just so that your kids will blow it in couple months or in a single taxi cab ride...

    1) What business was customer in? Has to be Gambling or Drugs.

    2) What a cheap-skate move. If you're that guy, don't you tip an amount approaching 2%? Seems like $3000 is very fair.

    How u guys been? Vacation is rocking Disneyland tomorrow....this story is insane tough call here....if the cabbie was smart he would have pulled over to use restroom called a very trusted friend picked him up and had him take the bag 70-30 split...my take on it but I'm scandalous have a good time guys!
