Yeah he pulled out of the qualifier. It's a mild tear. In Jamaica, if he is ranked close to the top in the world he can still go with a medical exemption, even without competing in the trials.

If granted, I think he bumps the third place qualifier out, probably to alternate.

Mild tear so the question is will he be healthy?

So if he's out who then is the favorite to win gold? Gatlin or Blake? I don't follow track very much but it's a must watch at the Olympic level. Semis and Finals of every sprint and relay.

When it's all said and done Gatlin would probably be favored over Blake, due to world ranking but a lot can still happen. The US trials are going on now and there may be some faster guys than Gatlin. We'll have to see the finals.

Trayvon Brommell and Tyson Gay both ran faster than Gatlin in the early heats, but Gatlin wasn't exactly pushed in his heat and he was the slowest winner of all the heats.

Don't bet too early for the Olympics. Athletes could get sick, killed or kidnapped before racing. Total crapshoot.

Bolt may never apply for medical exemption, Zika probably scared him off.

Pavy's right. That's why he's number one for June.

I may watch the finals Mo, but probably not betting it.

I don't usually bet Track and Field.

Good analysis man. I didn't realize the 100m trials final was tomorrow night. I'll watch that.

Actually, Bolt has already filed the medical exemption, but he has to "prove his world ranking form" before being selected. He will try to run in the London Anniversary Games on July 22nd.

He has to be healthy by July 22nd. I have seen or heard nothing about the 200M, this is all for the 100.

Expecting an announcement Monday naming Bolt to the team in both the 100 and 200.

He hasn't run a 200m race all year but will be running the 200 on July 22nd in London.

If he does well, and isn't injured, he will compete in both 100 and 200 at the Olympics. They will name him to the team Monday, but he still has to show top form July 22nd.
