This is going to be brutal
Everyone is going to come out and cite their "sources"
Now I'm hearing he's only interested in the "Mavs, Celtics and Rockets", then today it's the "Knicks" only, I've also heard the Heat a few weeks ago, before the Heat it was the Warriors. Last year was the hometown Wizards. I don't hear much about OKC but I personally think OKC is the chalk.
If he chose to go to NYC with Carmelo, that would be laughable. Both are soft players that are volume shooters, would be a joke. KD needs toughness around him. The last player KD needs on his team is Carmelo Anthony.
Unless the Heat could lure LBJ back, I can't see him joining a rebuilding project. Bosh is likely going to retire, Wade has to be close as well.
The Warriors are worse off with KD
The Mavs are interesting but with an old as fukk Nowitski and no one else, they'd also have to bring in a few other big names. Maybe Dwight Howard? Never sleep on Cuban though, many of his players have said he's the best owner around.
The Celtics are interesting, they're young but like most other teams, it depends on who else they could bring in.
Wizards now have Scottie Brooks, So I'm not sure if that helps or hurts them. I do know for certain that KD and Brooks got along well, but I'm not sure if it's enough to draw KD. Playing with Wall would be like playing with a worse version of Russel Westbrook.
Lakers
I'd guess the second most likely team he goes to is the Rockets. Him and Harden are close, the Rockets brought in offensive minded D'Antoni, they do still have Dwight down low, although I think DH would become frustrated with his lack of touches and quit on the team. There still seems to be enough in Houston to make them the runner up.
Lastly the Thunder. They just had a great season, they know this team should have and can beat the Warriors. Give Billy D a little more time and see what they can do. I don't think KD wants to split from Russ. Plus he stands to lose a lot of $$$ from leaving OKC. He will not get anymore endorsements in a big market vs OKC, that's not how the world works anymore. So financially, OKC is the sound choice. Plus, this OKC team would be better than the Rockets if KD were to go to Houston. So he's more likely to win a ring by staying in OKC than going to Houston.
Gonna be a long summer, but KD stays put.
