What a disgrace I have no idea if a coach even matters anymore if anything I would definatley go to Spain and bring one of those guys
I follow soccer since the Pele years and Franz Beckenbauer and probably one of the top authorities here for USA soccer
I used to hang out with some of the Cosmo's way back in the day

I say bring one of the coaches from English Premier League...it doesn't even have to be the top notch guy, just someone who can change the mentality of these players and the style of play.

USA recruits many players from local soccer clubs which is bizarre
Basically they looks for Spanish type players playing club soccer and they give them a shot
Most of our guys don't even look like soccer players when compared to other countries
Can you imagine if we added soccer to the list of things we were the best in the world at??

You're not going to beat anybody with MLS players in your team. Period.
I can agree somewhat.......how do we get the program to be a top ten nation?

Lots of good young players in the pipeline but might take another cycle

No talent on the team. Money is there to be made in this sport and fast too, but USA has way too much politics which turned this into a sport for the upper middle class here.
USA is currently ranked #31 out of 200+ countries and just lost 2-0 to the #3 team in the World. Hardly a disgrace. We are NOT Spain or Brazil because most of our top athletes play other sports.... we all get that. But the program is getting better and the boys have had some pretty special moments. The program isn't going anywhere.
We need to focus on getting an American coach and adding some American players and building some chemistry like we had 20 years ago. That was a fun group to watch.
I'm tired of Klinsmann recruiting foreign born players and passing of decent young homegrown talent. There are a couple of guys on the roster at the moment that don't even speak great English. Lots of guys on the squad resent it.

USA is garbage. Idk why people even waste their time having hopes. First of all the coach just came in and f@cked everything up. Second Lamdon Donovan retired because of Klinsman, he made him feel like he wasn't worth it anymore when all actuality Landon was the one keeping that country in the fight. Lastly, what's up with all the foreign players?? Mexico American, Columbian American, and so on. That right there says that the U.S is capable of producing good enough players. And C'mon who ever though the US was going to make it to even the second round is completely STUPID!!Was torture watching the game last night. Biggest problem with MLS is the league owns the teams and they assign the players to teams to make them equal strength. Let private owners own the teams with no salary cap. Then big money will come in and bring good players.

Colombia is one of the top nations in world soccer, no disgrace in losing to them.
You do realize they were gifted the PK right? US had their chances and dominated most of the game. The 2nd half was easy for colombia because they could park the bus and wait it out.
I can't stand these cup games with these referees. I'd like them to bring some of the euro refs over for these games. Much better quality.
