    lol yeah that's pretty bad. the guy took that b team to the playoffs and he gets canned but that seems to be the trend in the nba.

    They fired(cough contract not renewed) Lionel Hollins and shouldnt have after winning 56 games and making it to Conf. Finals. Joerger regressed big time this year winning only 40 games and a first round loss after winning 55 last year and Conf. Semis.

    Actually the other way around. Hollins was let go when management saw what Joerger was doing with the team as an assistant. He put the defense together. Hollins couldn't come close to the same results in Brooklyn.

    Interesting take. What are you basing that on?

    The Grizzlies' management - if you can call it that - is as dysfunctional as the Kings'. They let Hollins go because he wouldn't conform to their analytics, with John Hollinger on board. I think Joerger just happened to be the next man up.

    Now reports that Hollins might return to Memphis. They need him and he needs them (and they need to resign m.conley). I hope it happens.
