Tennis - Women Use Different Balls?

I am not a tennis fan per se, meaning I respect the sport, am vaguely aware of the top players and even went to the US Open years and years ago but this information is completely new to me. I am sure that the people reading this thread are most likely tennis aficionados and this comes as no surprise but I had no idea.

Men and women use the same size balls and each have equal pressure. In most events, including Miami, men use extra-duty felt, which slows the overall speed; women, meanwhile, use regular-duty felt.

plus it was murray. No other would of complained

Both balls are the same until after they are played with for awhile. If it was a new ball, no differenc.

Women's balls have the Penn logo in red. Men's in black. Pay attention when you buy tennis balls.

Sometimes ATP and WTA have different sponsors so different balls might be used even at the same venue, like the one currently played in Miami. But at GSs, they should use the same balls.
