Will The NBA Pull The All Star Game From Charlotte?

NBA has the option to pull it if they want. It's their product, and they have the right to display it where they choose, but I really wish politics and sports could just stay on two different stages.

North Carolina legislators decided to rein in local governments by approving a bill Wednesday that prevents cities and counties from passing their own anti-discrimination rules. Gov. Pat McCrory later signed the legislation.

The Republican-controlled General Assembly took action after Charlotte city leaders last month approved a broad anti-discrimination measure. Critics focused on language in the ordinance that allowed transgender people to use the restroom aligned with their gender identity.

I totally agree with what North Carolina did.

Pearl Jam can go fuk themselves.

Bruce Springsteen can go fuk himself.

This has ZERO TO DO WITH EQUALITY.

If you can't decide on WHO or WHAT you are... don't use a PUBLIC BATHROOM PAL.

Go home to take a leak.

Over the summer, the NBA pulled the 2017 All-Star Game from Charlotte because of North Carolina’s so-called bathroom laws, but the league isn’t giving up on the idea of placing the game and its gala weekend in the city that Michael Jordan’s team calls home.

Commissioner Adam Silver described bringing the game to Charlotte “a high priority” for 2019 — with one big qualifier: House Bill 2, which requires people to use the public facility or bathroom that corresponds to their birth gender in state facilities, must be overturned.

During an appearance Tuesday in Charlotte with Jordan for the unveiling of a renovated outdoor basketball court, Silver said that the league is not boycotting North Carolina or lobbying for the law to be overturned. The Public Facilities Privacy Act, which became law in March, is opposed by a consensus of NBA owners, Silver said (via the Charlotte Observer).
