Since the Cubs are 4-1 to win it all.....I have a question.

What teams in the NL do you think have a better pitching staff than them???

    More than a couple.

Mets have the best rotation in baseball, although Cubs may have best top two starters (marginally).

    They're #1.

    I say the Giants #2.

I will get around to baseball model eventually, I'd rather wait until toward end of spring training.

This. I would only throw money on the bad news cubs at 20-1. None of us will be alive when the cubs win the world series

Clearly a Cubs fan but right now is bad price. Wait until you see how they play w target on their back. Last year they weren't taken seriously until last few months at most. This year they went through all off season, spring training and then a whole year of high expectations on a team that hasn't obviously won anything. Would LOVE to see them win but 4:1 not nearly long enough even if they do have best pitching and hitting.

Everyone and their brother wants to have the winning ticket when the Cubs finally win the World Series. But it's tough to bet against a streak, even an epic losing streak. 4/1 or 9/2 are NOT good odds for this year's Cubs team. You'd be betting into a bad line.

Colon faced Cubs in the playoffs, 0 hits 0 runs, don't pop off about Colon. Mets with Wheeler can throw 5 starting pitchers straight that throw 97 to 100 that are all young and have filthy stuff.

I would take Lackey over Colon as 5th starter ever day of the week.
Sure he pitched a great game , it's 162 games , taking the Cubs rotation .
The only person who knows his age or weight is him.

But watch out for Dbacks , they spent some cash.
Grienke and Miller will help them out a lot.
NL is freaking loaded with pitching staffs.
Should be an interesting year with all these great staffs.

Braves are underrated. Last season at "The Ted" could end with a trip to World Series.

Can you name the starting pitcher of the Royals? You don't need pitching to win a WS.

They are the complete package. In a seven game series I see two NL teams that may be able to figure out a way to beat them... SF and LAD. I'll likely make a play at 2:1 to win the NL. Or potentially wait a little while and hope they have a slow start. Either way I will not be at all surprised to see them represent the NL.

Mets have the best rotation in baseball and it will only get better come summer when Wheeler returns.

Harvey is another year removed from Tommy John and Syndergaard/Matz will be in the rotation from opening day on.

Braves have no bats is the bad thing. They haven't in a couple of years.
I love the Braves but they dumped all the big money guys.
Simmons , best defensive SS in baseball , Miller , best pitcher on the staff.
The only pitcher worth anything is Julio, has a bright future ahead. He struggled last year .
The next guy is Bud Norris , he blows.
But they will struggle to score as well , vs the rest of these NL staffs , they're screwed IMO.
But I'm going to continue to root for them , even losing .

The swing and miss Cubs are a terrible matchup against the Mets power pitchers.

Colon will not be a factor (or most likely long relief) when Wheeler comes back.

Mets by far. Matt Harvey will re establish himself as head to head with Kershaw. Degrom will regress a little but not much and Noah will be even better than degrom this year. And then u have Matz as ur number 4? I can name 20 teams he will be their strong 2 making a case to be the ace. This rotation is going to be historic for the next 3 years.

Its definitely the Mets at the start of the season. S happens during a long season though, they are still unproven as a consistent offensive team as well.

Nationals, Cards, Diamondbacks, Cubs, Giants, Mets all have top rotations. Don't sleep on the Pirates once Glasnow, Tallion, and other are called up. Best 1/2 probably Scherzer & Strasburg...as long as Stras is fully healthy

ive been on their pitching staff all year last year , and a year older ... A Matt Harvey a year removed off TJ. They are not flukes by any standards. And they can pitch in October if u didn't notice.

I basically called them winning the NL last year, in March. Matz the #1 starter on 20 teams? No way.

What is interesting to me is that them and possibly the Astros will go to a 6 man rotation. If successful, it could change baseball

They greatly reduced their swing and miss-ness when they signed Heyward and Zobrist.
