Is Lebron James past his prime?

He's still a top 10 player in the league, but certainly his best days are behind him

If anyone votes "No", we can be sure that LeBron is on SBR.

I appreciated how good he was in his prime... kinda sad to know his best days are behind him now but of course it was inevitable

    lol "still a 10 player"

James is easily the best player in the NBA when it comes down to a 7 game series. Almost single handedly beat the warriors last year. Look at his numbers. Absurd.

James has slowed down a bit but what he's lost in speed he's made up for in strength over the last 3 years. If James prime was 27, why did he melt down against dallas in the finals? Today's James wouldn't melt down that way. So is today's James better than 27 year old Lebron? The answer is pretty simple. Yes.

It's a simple question JJ Gold: Would today's Lebron James meltdown in the finals against Dallas? If the answer is "no," which it is, then 30/31 year old james is better than 27 year old james.

    Simple.

Being in your prime doesn't mean the height of your athletic prowess....

    Top 10 player

I'd love to know which 9 players are ahead of him today. How dumb can people be, seriously...

I never said Lebron was at his prime in June of 2011.

Why has his mid range and long range shooting percentage dropped significantly? He still is a beast inside of course though

Reg season numbers? Who cares. All that matters is the playoffs. And in a 7 game series, there's no one I would want over James. Not Curry, Durant. No one in the game today.

I would say that Lebron's prime started 2 years ago and will go on until he's about 33.

He is a hack, plays zero defense and complains about how many minutes he has to play. The only reason he has a ring is because he had to put an all star team together. He won't ever get another ring and he will continue to blame everyone else when he fails like he just did to their coach.

Still in his prime. Best overall player in NBA. No need to kill himself during regular season when he knows he will be playing another 20+ games in postseason.

Name another player in recent NBA history that not only lived up to pre-pro hype but exceeded it. I can't think of a player in my lifetime aside from Shaq or MJ.

Not past his prime....Still dominant as always if we're being honest

We are watching someone legitimately in the conversation for best player ever but some people just downplay the shit out of Lebron for whatever reason....nothing new

Just coincidence Lebron went to the finals with the Cavs....Went to the Heat and made the finals...went back to the Cavs and back in the finals

You see the Heat with these all-stars without Lebron.....literally average, 500 team. You see the Cavs after Lebron left...Worst team in the league

The main reason Lebron won championships was because of Lebron.....wake up

Guess we will find out.....regardless what I said wasn't wrong

Wade without Shaq or Lebron has led his teams to poor records generally so gimmie a break there

Name one player who won a title without another good player(s)

    Exactly

You have good points. Nobody wins without other good players.

If lebron loses in the finals again it will destroy him. He has the best team on paper imo. He has the worst coach.

LOL not being able to win a title on a terrible Cavs team that was the worst in the NBA without him the next season

The Decision was dumb and he never should have left but that doesn't take away from his basketball ability

If you don't think he's an all time great than I don't know what to tell you

He was a good player but not a great one.. just over hyped.. he also plays in the east..also dont forget he gets a bunch of fake ass foul favorites like how shaq used to get but worst... never liked it his attitude.

I am not saying the guy isn't good, we all know he can play. I just look at all the results minus the setting his fantasy team up to get a championship. It also helps the guy that he plays in the East, which is pathetic compared to entering the playoffs as a West team. The East is so bad that every nba expert already has the Cavs in the finals. Even with how good GS is they still have to get around teams like the Spurs, Thunder, and the Clippers. It's been this way for years, hell the Cavs before he went to Miami wouldn't have even got to the second round of the playoffs in the West. I just think unless he pulls what he did in Miami again he isn't getting another title. Certainly not this year because unless GS has big time injuries they will destroy the Cavs.

I don't know what your point it.....That great teams are better than one great player? I agree....see last NBA Finals

Lebron played almost as well as anyone could and they still got beat down by a great team in Golden State

I am saying he is finished, I am saying he will continue to make finals in the weak ass East but will always be denied. That was pretty evident a little while ago when GS curb stomped the Cavs at home with their full lineup and no room for excuses.
