I had cruz rounds 1-3, and Dillashaw round 4 and 5.
The only two rounds that stood out for me were rounds 2 and 4, where round 2 would go to Cruz and round 4 goes to Dillashaw.
This is why I was so surprised that one of the judges gave rounds 4 and 5 to Cruz.

pretty weird it was 48/47 Cruz, 49-46 TJ, and then 49-46 Cruz.

So apparently one judge had it 4-1 TJ and another had it 4-1 Cruz...Seems kinda ****** up. At least they all agreed 2nd rd was won by Cruz. Would of been even worse had the judge that had it 48/47 given the 2nd rd to TJ.

Rewatched the fight a few times now, tj won 1st round close, cruz won 2nd round clear, tj won 3rd round close, tj won 4th and 5th rounds clear. 1st and 3rd are the only debatable rounds the judge that scored it 49 46 tj was the only one that got it right. Weeks scoring the clear 4 and 5 rounds of tj for cruz, is what cost tj the match.

Cruz never even really attempted to fight. Counter..yes..fight..no. MMA, "A" stands for Arts, and Cruz's art is shadow boxing. The decision was a joke and Cruz won on sentiment alone. After Condit/Lawler and now this, I'm starting to question the legitimacy of the UFC.

The fight was over after the first 3 rounds. Cruz was first 3 rounds. Not sure what fight you were watching. Go to sherdog forums (mma forum) look at the fight thread. Everyone had cruz winning first 3 rounds.

I had Cruz 3 rounds to 2. If TJ would have won 48-47, I wouldn't have been surprised. It was a close fight. Cruz just looked better through the first 3 rounds IMO.

All I can figure with some of these strange judges decisions is that they do not get to watch and see every angle from a HD monitor like we do, so maybe sometimes they are just guessing on what is happening.

Defending against strikes and takedowns is part of the game, why shouldn't it be taken into account? Cruz landed a higher percentage of the shots he took. Tj spent most of the night swinging at air.


Easy win for Cruz...was is it an ugly win? Yes it was, but win nonetheless.

Jibbby, I don't judge fights on who I bet on, like you. I judge them objectively, and objectively Cruz looked slicker and made TJ miss, but that doesn't change the fact that TJ did way way more damage, and hit Cruz WAY harder.

And I was on Cruz decision of course, which was realistically his only way to win.

Decisions in MMA seem skewed most of the time because the judges do not have the same angles and coverage the viewer at home has. Also it's rigged.

^^ Miri you're trolling me bud... I score fights objectively and make a point to do that regardless of my wager. I've been gifted decision wins where I thought my pick lost the fight on several occasions.. Read posts during the live events..

I said this Cruz/TJ fight was close and I wouldn't call it a robbery if TJ had got the decision win.. I posted that up.. Just saw Cruz winning 3 rounds and getting take downs and TJ swinging at air...
